Amen bump
Strictly from a National Security standpoint, immigration legislation must have the criminalization wording. What happens when MS13 gets in bed with Al-Qaeda?? Rumor has it they already have..
..he's only got a couple of more times at bat to get this one right--Monday night is one of them...
How's that class-action lawsuit comin'?
"You got it! Ending this problem is as easy as removing the incentive for hiring!"
And take away all the freebies, such as welfare, food stamps, free health care and they will migrate back from where they came.
In addition, put a heavy tax on money they Western Union back to Mexico... and I mean a HEAVY TAX!
Ugh.. Activly IMPORTING 20 to 30 million NEW DEMOCRATS is NOT good for the country OR the republican party.. Duuuugh.. Wake Up..
Their NOT immigrants their DEMOCRATS...
They are ALREADY voting.. even the dead vote democrat.. registering live ones is easier..
"You don't have a say in the matter"
As the owner of two businesses in Texas and the owner of approximately 2000 acres of land in North Central Texas I beg to differ with you. BTW...I'm a registered voter in Texas (my main residence). Perhaps it is you that doesn't have a say in the matter. BTW, I was born in Wise County Texas.
I might add that the folks I talk with in Crawford, Gatesville, Fort Gates and the surrounding areas have a somewhat different opinion of GWB than you. Nope, George ain't no Texan.
The border will include all CAFTA countries. You see, "free trade" agreements are mechanisms for economic, political and social mergers. In other words, they erase country borders.
When the FTAA is signed, the hemispheric merger will be complete on paper, the implementation will soon follow.
Something that I think needs to be done is to forbid all money orders and transfers going to Mexico. As much as I hate to see another law passed, one needs to be that would make selling money orders that are going to Mexico and or wiring money to Mexico against the law. (Of course our ball-less Congress will never do such a thing.)
"As far as I'm concerned.. Bush is not even HAVING the immigration debate."
Thanks, Bones - it took 26 posts for someone to note that.
It seems to me that it doesn't matter whether he's losing the debate or not, he's going to do what he wants - not what we want.
Did you vote for Governor Bush?
This is one "hispanic" (American first) who wholeheartedly disagrees with this statement.
And apparently no one in the WH has the guts to tell him the truth.
Yes. I remember reading an interview of him before he was president and someone asked him what the difference was between himself and his father and his one word response was:
"Midland".

I've been pushing that on FR for a couple of years. Even wrote to Tancredo about it.
Have also seen suggestions of taxing the hell out of money transfers - pols probably more likely to go for that one.
You ain't no Texan if you're ashamed of it.
"He was born in Connecticut, but spent 58 of his 59 years in Texas"
Phillips Andover Academy, MA grades 9-12= 4 years
Yale University, Ct = 4 years
Harvard Business School, MA = 2 years
POTUS, DC = 4+ years
At a minimum, 14 years, NOT IN TEXAS! Important, developmental years at that.
If GWB had played on the Midland, TX football team, gone to the Midland, TX High School Prom, got his degree from Texas Tech, and got his MBA at UT, I would absolutely call him a TEXAN. He didn't. GWB is about as TEXAS as a bagel. (Apologies to all members of the 'Lone Star of David' Synagogue.)
Lets hear what the Presidant has to say Monday before shooting off with con job and all that crud.
Your post shows what I believe to be the cucial breaking point in the conservative movement on illegal immigration.
Those against the "sieve method" of border control stand FOR our national sovereignty and enforcement of law.
If what you are posting here is accurate, you are concerned about votes.
One of these is a very shallow display.
