I just noticed this when looking at FR's page views and daily reach, many FReepers I know have temporarily left FR because of the Bush bashing and thread hijacking...what do you think?

I think you ought to take a good look at what happened in the Senate today.
It's also spring time. Not as much FRee time these days maybe.
Taht, and I'm also sick of the bashing, too.
I'm only intermittently in and out on FR. I don't understand what you mean by the "thread hijacking". And why would people give up and walk away in the face of "Bush-bashing"? If FR is anything, it is a large group of people who live to argue about politics.

What I see is that 82% of Senate Democrats voted in favor of President Bush's amnesty-first policies today, but only 32% of Senate Republicans did likewise.

Some of the Doom and Gloomer Freepers seem to really want the country to go down the toilet, so they can say they were right.
I don't understand that kind of negativism.
America still has a bright future ahead of it.
Maybe it's lots of families caught up in proms and graduations who don't have the time to view right now.

But a hijacked thread is one where the debate is fueled by emotion---not reason and facts.

You probably could make a stronger correlation between rising temperatures and lower FR activity.
