Who's whining? It is in fact a good start. That's just a statement.

"I'm all for a 20ft tall, 200,000 volt electric fence followed by a 20 ft wide, 2000 mile long moat of boiling oil:

Don't forget a tench with a few alligators and crocs (They gotta eat too.)

This is an ENORMOUS concession by the Senate. They're feeling the heat that WE are applying...in concert with many conservative dems who don't support amnesty or open borders.

I know MANY dems who see the border/immigration issue as I do...seal it tight with a fence/wall and deport ALL illegals as we stumble accross them. Imprison all who employ them...a year and a day for each offense.

Those who think our opinions are not making an impact are wrong...the Senate is already moving our way. The bill that comes out of conference will have a wall, severe/real worksite enforcement...and a VERY LIMITED and controlled "guest worker" program to support agriculture. Those who are here today will not be granted amnesty in any form and worksite enforcement will make them unemployable.

When THAT bill goes back to the Senate we'll see who has the cajones to vote against it:)

this is the kind of talk, even though I know its in jest (I hope), that makes FR look bad, and frankly emboldens those who want to paint people in legitimate opposition to this bill, as "kooks". we don't want electrified fences, moats of boiling oil, gun turrets, et al along the southern border.

It's a good start. I wasn't directing my comment AT you, merely to you as an observation of some of the posts. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

How about the so called Senators go out and build it. They're not doing anything worthwhile. Let 'em earn their huge pay for a change.

Thank you. The landmine crazies have been everywhere today. And now this boiling oil nonsense.

We're approaching DU status here on some threads.

The 370 miles of triple-layered fencing is good stuff. Too bad its not 3700 miles. The 500 miles of vehicle barriers is pure BS. A real waste of taxpayer money.

Watch the fence to be constructed by Halliburton, and the MSM will take another conniption.

You know it.

we can have security fences, patrols, border agents interdicting them, surveillance, and a range of other things - without these measures.

c'mon, let's get real here.

and let me also add - right now, most americans are in favor of border security. but allow the media to run a few months of "rodney king" style videos of people being gunned down at the border, or caught in an electrified fence, or a moat of boiling oil - and US public opinion will turn. do you want that?

Looks like we might put the dudes who ship in illegals out of business.

The real problem still remains. Mexico does nothing for Mexicans. It's still the old Frito Bandito days. They're sitting on their ass/ets....accumulating American dollars. What a horrible country. I was VERY, VERY sick for six weeks after I got out of that hole.
