Its amazing. You would think these people would put this country first. As we see with our own eyes, the egoism and selfishness in Washington is just breath-taking to behold. In the end, its all about THEM, screw the country.

Hello,
What to say? There is nothing to say and nothing to do to get the (majority of) the Senate to be anything other than what they are. The House is prime time now. The "Big Show"....

They're willing to bust the budget caps to reward illegal aliens. None of them, Bush included, are conservatives.
I hate to sound disloyal but I reached that conclusion by 2003.
To: jwalsh07
Nah the hell with that, Jeff Sessions for President.
And Speaker Jeff Flake.
To: George W. Bush
I was never under the illusion Bush was a conservative. He was preferable to the Democrat alternatives. But now the time has a come for a parting of the ways.

So that means Bush and the Dems picked up seven repubicans? Oh, it's WAY worse than that. There were only 31 votes for us and some of them were DEMOCRATS!!!

"Now they have to talk about money."
"Now they DON'T have to talk about money." See post #61. Possibly the most important point brought up on this entire thread. You guys nailed it.

I like my Senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, but I have a new hero: Senator Jeff Sessions.

You might check. Throughout this, those Dims supposedly voting for us were those up for re-election.
Weasels.

Senator Sessions is one guy who seems always to be on the right side of the issues. He has principles and stands up for them. Although most Senators are not good candidates for President, I believe he would be. Should he ever decide to enter the race, I could give him a serious look.

Let's hope Allard wins. The LEGAL immigration numbers from this bill are bad enough!

Didn't know it was so easy to violate the Budget Act, eh? But then again, anarchy seems to be the order of the day as of late. Laws are for "little" people -- you know, folks like you and me. For our rulers, it's all about power.
Having absolute power, and zero accountability, means being able to do whatever the hell you want -- and getting away with it. In other times, in other places, it used to be called by various names, such as totalitarianism, or dictatorship.
Here, we call it "the rule of law" -- the key word, of course, is "call". I can "call" a turd a rose, but I pity the naif who picks it up to inhale the aroma.
See my tagline, which I've had running for quite a while now. I think that maybe now, a lot of folks may start to realize that it really does mean something.
