None of his duties include making you HAPPY.
Respect him. He has earned it. Grow up.
Note again.........FINAL post to you.
Such venom, such hatred...
I've never seen such EVIL spouted off at the FreeRepublic until now.
---
But in all honesty...
What makes you think that President Bush is doing a good enough job to warrant Conservatives respect?
What Conservative issues has he seriously pushed in his second term?
War on Terrorism?
Seems to me that he's waffling on the issue, considering that the State Department is calling for funding of HAMAS.
Not to mention... that's a mighty fine way to treat your ally, Israel. I guess if Israel funded Aztlan, it'd be all right in our eyes, too?
Oh, yes, I almost forgot. That's a holdover from his first term.
---
Maybe the war in Iraq?
Good things are being done there... and we have a base of operations right on Iran's doorstep. So it's doing well.
But again, it's a holdover from his first term.
---
He's pushed for Social Security reform and it went nowhere. I don't blame him for the lack of action as Congress is the one's who must vote on it.
That goes for many things that he's proposed, but Congress must take action on.
But when he has the power, the bully-pulpit, and the influence to make something happen...
...and pushes for something in direct violation of Conservative principles, then I (and many Conservatives) will speak out against him. We will actively work to stop whatever that might be.
Whether it be border control...
...or illegal immigration...
...or the prescription health plan...
...or selling vital US assets to a nation less than friendly with us (China/US oil company bid).

I think you are laboring under the misconception that President Bush is the ruler of America.
He is not. He is the mouthpiece, the spokesman for the ruler of America.
And the ruler of America is the American people.
When a 'leader' forgets that, he is first criticized. If that doesn't work, he is then voted out of office.
And while he cannot run for election again, his actions reflect on the Republican party, for good or for ill.
Oh, and yes, I have read the Constitution. I do know what the duties of the President are. So what's your point in asking?
Life.
Now stop making things up about what I am 'laboring under the misconception' about, and stop asking the President to do what you want, or you'll stop supporting him. It's what grown-ups do when they understand the Constitution.
And PLEASE........don't post back to me.
Judges.

Don't fret - this travesty is DOA...until the next congress. The headbutt contest between the bots and conservatives this November will be bloody and falls count anywhere.
Should the balance of power in our nation totally tilt to corruption it's best that all good citizens able to do so stock up on as may critical supplies as forseeable, ordinance on top the list.
Check!
Lol . . . but it was a self-regenerating pre-emptive non-binding non-opus.
