Illegal Immigration Up Since Senate Bill
Newsmax ^ | Sunday, May 28, 2006 | With Carl Limbacher

Senate debate over an immigration bill that promises Social Security benefits and citizenship for illegal immigrants has already prompted an increase in the number of Mexicans trying to get into the U.S. illegally, Rep. James Sensenbrenner said Sunday

Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press," Sensenbrenner said: "Mexican government officials have said that the talk of amnesty is actually increasing the flow of illegal immigrants across the border as we speak."

The Wisconsin Republican said that in reaction to the higher numbers, Mexican officials have "redeployed some of their security forces into the desert on the Mexican side of the border to prevent Mexicans who are trying to come across the border from either starving or being dehydrated."

Sensenbrenner, who authored a House immigration bill that mandates the construction of a 700-mile border fence and tough penalties for illegal aliens, urged: "Amnesty is wrong and we should not pass it."

Doh!

Every time GW has brought up amnesty (under whatever 'linquistic precision' name the WH is calling it now), the flood increases.

The illegals are just trying to get here early to avoid the rush.

======

Maybe the House will stop this madness.

What can be possibly be added after you've said, "well duh"?

Maybe they counted one of them twice?? Why would a bill that allows illegal invaders to enetr a country, rape and pillage its health, education and social services at the expense of others, AND allows them access to all the jobs and job benefits they could ever hope for cause even MORE illegal invaders to enter the country!!????

(BTW, don't tell anyone, I am flying to Matamoros next week so that MY Coyote can sneak me across the border so I can become eligible for all those free goodies the taxpayers are providing. Oh boy!!!)

The Senate Dimocrats are contemptible, and the Senate RINOs (e.g. McCain, Hagel, Graham) are poison dwarfs. David Frum recently summed up McCain beautifully when he said the man is just a collection of attitudes with no clear principles, and if he got elected President he would not know what to do the first day.

Amazingly, the people trying to cross the border are smarter than many of our elected officials, since they clearly know amnesty when they see it.

Thank God that McCain will never be elected as POTUS.

I actually hate to see Gomer Pyle's name mentioned in the context of federal policy these days. Raising the name of a more qualified person, simply makes our leaders look bad.

There is one poster here from South Carolina who refers to Lindsey Graham as Goober and somehow that works for me.

This senate bill comes down to one thing,VOTES!Both parties are trying to buy a voting block by selling out the REAL AMERICAN PEOPLE.This is the same technique as was the creation of social security. You are NOT going to vote someone out of office if they are seeing to it that you get a check in your mailbox every month.
