Was the 2004 Election Stolen? (by RFKjr)
Rolling Stone ^ | 6/1/06 | ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR.

Posted on 06/01/2006 12:06:42 PM PDT by finnman69

Like many Americans, I spent the evening of the 2004 election watching the returns on television and wondering how the exit polls, which predicted an overwhelming victory for John Kerry, had gotten it so wrong. By midnight, the official tallies showed a decisive lead for George Bush -- and the next day, lacking enough legal evidence to contest the results, Kerry conceded. Republicans derided anyone who expressed doubts about Bush's victory as nut cases in ''tinfoil hats,'' while the national media, with few exceptions, did little to question the validity of the election. The Washington Post immediately dismissed allegations of fraud as ''conspiracy theories,''(1) and The New York Times declared that ''there is no evidence of vote theft or errors on a large scale.''(2)

But despite the media blackout, indications continued to emerge that something deeply troubling had taken place in 2004. Nearly half of the 6 million American voters living abroad(3) never received their ballots -- or received them too late to vote(4) -- after the Pentagon unaccountably shut down a state-of-the-art Web site used to file overseas registrations.(5) A consulting firm called Sproul & Associates, which was hired by the Republican National Committee to register voters in six battleground states,(6) was discovered shredding Democratic registrations.(7) In New Mexico, which was decided by 5,988 votes,(8) malfunctioning machines mysteriously failed to properly register a presidential vote on more than 20,000 ballots.(9) Nationwide, according to the federal commission charged with implementing election reforms, as many as 1 million ballots were spoiled by faulty voting equipment -- roughly one for every 100 cast.(10)

We are soooooooooo sorry Mr. Kennedy. We were only trying to counter the Chicago graveyard vote that elected your uncle. While on the subject it is true that Dan Quayle was not the sharpest knife in the drawer but when Bentsen insulted him by telling him he was "no Jack Kennedy"; he should have replied "Mr. Senator that is the nicest thing you could have possibly said to me". In conclusion Dear Robert shove it up your wretched globally warmed pompous backside.

Are you thinking the polling methods were designed to skew the results in Kerry's favor so Bush voters in Western states would be discouraged from coming out to the polls?

I tuned in late to the 2004 elections and didn't hear the dire exit poll predictions, but the first thing I did see was that all of the 12(?) gay rights votes were going badly for the gay supporters.

As soon as I saw that, I knew it was going to go well for Republicans. If the Democrats had truly won the elections, they would have won the gay rights votes as well. The Democrats lost both fair and square.

Ah yes, that paragon of journalistic integrity, "Rolling Stone." If I'm not mistaken, this is the same magazine that artfully touched up Gore's trousers in the zipper area.

It's a slow day at Rolling Stone every day. The people running that place have to duct tape their bongs to their walkers to keep from losing them.

If most of these voters are democrat voters, and every allegation is true,. all it shows is that more democrat voters can't follow simple directions, or have the patience to wait on a line.

Sound like at least one Dim is preparing an excuse for their upcoming losses in 06.

I just wish Quayle would have been quick witted enough to respond "and neither is Michael Dukakis." Having said that, Quayle was a lot sharper than the press made him out to be. Can you imagine what the MSM would have done to that dim bulb John Edwards if he was a Republican?

Not a whole lot mentioned regarding the massive democratic voter fraud in Cleveland, Milwaukee, Seattle, and Philadelphia, that was the only thing that made the race close.

I am 100% for the strictest possible voting regulations. Let's have voter id cards. Mention that to a democrat and they will backtrack and weasle their way out, knowing they get a substantial percentage of their votes from the dead or illegals.

What?

You're trying to bring facts to the left's "stolen election" argument?

Shame on you. You should know that facts are irrelevant to these kinds of discussions. ;)

All I had to do was see WHO wrote the article and see WHERE it was published and that was enough for me.

RFK, Jr. just got finished reading the front page of the paper from November 2004.

Not saying he is the dullest knife in the drawer but by the time he caught on to the "Little Moron" jokes they were no longer politically correct.
