Like many Americans, I spent the evening of the 2004 election watching the returns on television and wondering how the exit polls, which predicted an overwhelming victory for John Kerry, had gotten it so wrong. By midnight, the official tallies showed a decisive lead for George Bush -- and the next day, lacking enough legal evidence to contest the results, Kerry conceded. Republicans derided anyone who expressed doubts about Bush's victory as nut cases in ''tinfoil hats,'' while the national media, with few exceptions, did little to question the validity of the election. The Washington Post immediately dismissed allegations of fraud as ''conspiracy theories,''(1) and The New York Times declared that ''there is no evidence of vote theft or errors on a large scale.''(2)
But despite the media blackout, indications continued to emerge that something deeply troubling had taken place in 2004. Nearly half of the 6 million American voters living abroad(3) never received their ballots -- or received them too late to vote(4) -- after the Pentagon unaccountably shut down a state-of-the-art Web site used to file overseas registrations.(5) A consulting firm called Sproul & Associates, which was hired by the Republican National Committee to register voters in six battleground states,(6) was discovered shredding Democratic registrations.(7) In New Mexico, which was decided by 5,988 votes,(8) malfunctioning machines mysteriously failed to properly register a presidential vote on more than 20,000 ballots.(9) Nationwide, according to the federal commission charged with implementing election reforms, as many as 1 million ballots were spoiled by faulty voting equipment -- roughly one for every 100 cast.(10)

And let's not forget that early voting was in effect for that election. Everyone had a WEEK to get their vote cast.
Just like the MSM calling Florida for Gore before the polls closed in Pensacola. Despite their profuse apologies, I think the knew exactly what they were doing.
1) In a fairly conducted election, they will always win.
2) Therefore, when they lose, "something has gone wrong".
3) Actual arithmetical counting of votes is an unreliable means of determining the winner.
4) Votes of minorities, and of blacks in particular, "belong" to the Democrat.
5) Hence, it is fair to use "ascriptive voting" to determine the outcome. If 200 000 blacks did not vote, regardless of why, 200 000 votes should be added to the Democrat.
6) Their party is meant to rule, since they embody the General Will. Hence, procedures such as simple counting and comparing vote totals are an injustice.
Representatives of the Democratic Party have asserted one or all of these propositions in the last six years. RFK junior has thoughhtfully collected them into a comprehensive presentation.
It is, of course, a prescription for civil war. I wonder if he knows that?
What happened in 2004 was the Kerry campaign wanted to control all the advertising. They did not want the Soros ... as in moveon.org people doing advertisements. So they chose to delegate the registration of new voters to the Soros people.
Soros and and idiot managers knew nothing about what it takes to register a voter. The Bush campaign used volunteers to register new voters and they knew it takes about 3 hours labor (going door to door) to register one new voter.
The Soros people were unable to get volunteers so they offered people jobs on commission.. They offered to pay them 10 dollars for every person registered. That means in a 9 hour day a worker could earn all of 30 dollars. That is about 3 dollars and 33 cents an hour. That is what they would make on a good day.
Very quickly the people that took the jobs realized the easy way to make money was to cheat. They would take a phone book and register fake names at real addresses. Many of these commissioned workers were turning in 100 new registrations a day. They were drawing pay of a thousand dollars a day.
They quickly ran out of good names. One Kerry hired person tried to register Marry Poppins in Defiance County Ohio.
A couple of weeks before the election the Bush campaign sent me to Pike County, Ohio to make a list of all the fake names registered in Pike County. There were about a thousand of them. A list was made of fake registrations in all counties where fake registrations were make. There were about a quarter million total.
When a person registers to vote in Ohio, the local board of elections sends out a confirmation to that person's address. The notifications for fake registrations came back with either a no such address or no such person at this address.
The Bush campaign knew weeks before the election there were approximately 250,000 fake registrations in Ohio. They were quite afraid that the Democrats had people lined up to go to the polls and vote those fake registrations. A hundred people could go to 50 precincts in a county and vote 50 fake names. That would produce a total of 5,000 fake votes.
The Bush campaign had observers at the polling places with the list of fake voters for that precinct. If the Democrats tried to vote them, they would challenge and expose them. The observers were backed up by local attornies on call and they were prepared to call in federal marshalls.
The Kerry campaign must have thought those fake registrations were real. As election evening wore on they thought those votes were surely going to show up to be counted.
The Exit pollsters also believed that there were a quarter of a million more Democrat voters than there actually were. So they weighted the exit poll numbers by the expected Democrat turn out. Which turned out to be 300 thousand fewer voters than actually voted. The Bush campaign had managed to ge the votes of about 50 thousand registered Democrats who were very opposed to abortion. The exit pollsters believed those 50 thousand registered voters were going to vote for Kerry. They voted for Bush.
The Bush campaign knew by noon election day that there was not going to be an attempt by the Democrats to vote the fake registrations. That instead of a grand conspiracy by Democrats to win the election with fake voters, the Kerry Campaign had been taken to the cleaners for about 2.5 million dollars. They had paid 2.5 million dollars to workers hired to register voters. Nearly all those workers just made up names, registered them and then collected the cash from the Democrats.
The Kerry campaign was seduced by the Soros money. Soros thought money could buy the election. What 2004 proved is that a fool and his money are soon parted and the fool gets nothing for his money.
This year the Unions will be back in the drivers seat of registering new voters in Ohio. They won't get ripped off. They won't register many new voters either.
Today there are still several Rove trained people in the Ohio Republican party. The Democrats started out 2004 thinking they were going to win. Karl Rove was one step ahead of the Kerry campaign at every turn. Rove knew the registrations were fake. Apparently Kerry and his inner circle did not.
It is worth saying that Rove has seen to it that there were about 70,000 newly Registered Republicans in Ohio in 2004. Nearly all of them voted. Kerry had 250 thousand fake registrations.. next to none of them voted.

Likewise, in Texas "substantial voter fraud may well have occurred, though it is impossible to say whether fraud accounted for Kennedy's entire 46,242-vote majority out of over 2.3 million votes cast."
And after a quick read, I've become convinced that the Kennedys (including ol' Swimmer and "I-was-driving-to-a-3am-vote-in-the-House") are nuts.

There were a large number of voters purged from the 2004.
They were registered to vote in NJ/NY/AND FL
The media did a very poor job reporting on this and made it sound like a bunch of black votes were purged with no explanation.
I'm sure that accounts for a number of 'votes not counted'.
Pretty soon this BS will become indisputable fact for a majority of leftists.

Remember how the mainstream media called Florida for Gore in 2000 while the polls were still open in the panhandle counties (Central time zone). It's estimated that that cost Bush 10,000 votes...without that Gore wouldn't have been in a position to try to steal the Florida electoral votes in the 36-day nightmare that followed election day.
Of course! However, it was back in a time when such possibilities were not to be pursued or seriously discussed!
Having lived long enough to have personally seen/heard of/investigated...:
Multiple voting by individuals, ballot box stuffing, candidates (IN THE USA) being murdered shortly before/after their election, ballots "destroyed or "disappearing", etc....
GIVE ME A BREAK!!! While the vast majority of individuals naively believe that our voting process is, somehow, PRISTINE AND PURE, human nature dictates otherwise!
As to which party is less PRISTINE & PURE, I shall leave that to the reader to determine.....
