This is my first vanity, so please indulge me.
Dixie Chicks tour tickets went on sale today to the public in many market and it's starting to look a disaster, especially in the Red States.
There were initial indications that internet pre-sale ticket sales were going badly last week, but this confirms the news.
A review of seat availabilities on Ticketmaster indicate first-day and pre-sale ticket sales for the portly traitors are:
Detroit-Bad
Pittsburgh-Disaster
Philadelphia-Bad
Boston-Almost Sold Out
Wash. DC.-Selling Well
Chicago-Selling Well
Minneapolis-Bad
Fargo-Meltdown Disaster
Glendale, AZ-Bad

Denver-Disaster
Dallas-Disaster

More venues go on-sale in the next week. California will probably go well for the cows, but the rest of the U.S. seems to be saying that the Chicks will be playing to half-empty arenas.
How does a "Disaster" compare to a "Meltdown Disaster"?

In a "Meltdown Disaster" muggers are using the threat of giving people the tickets as weapons.

They didn't say it, but I assume they meant "The Theater at Madison Square Garden" (which used to be the Felt Forum) and is a much much smaller venue than the main arena.

They're playing the big Garden and it will probably sell out. But the Red States arenas look to be a big flopper for the heifers.

The Big Media has been pushing these flimsy pricks on us for several weeks now. Here's another example of how the media no longer has any influence over us.

We have a very good friend who used to travel to Europe and the plush Asian countries on a regular basis before 9/11.
He would see entertainers who were losing their groove and fan base with their American audiences on tv talk shows in foriegn countries trashing America and in particuliar the election of GW in 2000.
One of his customers in Europe said the inside Euro joke was "When American entertainers trash America in Europe or Asia, they are losing or have lost their American Fan Base. They know the best and quickest way to appeal to Eurotrash fans in countries and certain Asian countries was to trash America and GW."
The Dixie Brood Hens are a classic example of that.
