Despite a blizzard of negative press coverage, Ann Coulters new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism has surged all the way to No. 1 on Amazon.coms list of bestsellers -- just two days after its official publication. [Editors Note: Get Anns book much cheaper than Amazon! Go Here Now]
On Wednesday Hillary Clinton lashed out at Coulter for what she called her "vicious, mean-spirited attack on a group of outspoken 9/11 widows, whom the conservative television pundit described as "self-obsessed, and said Coulters book should have been called "heartless.
The media attack on Coulter began Tuesday with her first book interview on NBCs Today Show. Host Matt Lauer claimed that Coulter had cruelly criticized several 9/11 widows.
But criticism from the establishment media hasnt hurt sales of Coulters book at all.
In "Godless, Coulter argues that in addition to being a political movement and philosophy, liberalism is a twisted religion whose deity is itself and she details liberalisms war on traditional religion and God. All of Coulters previous books have also been New York Times bestsellers: "How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must), "Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right, "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism and "High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton.
LOL!
Haven't read it yet. The last time I saw her was some months ago...
just ordered mine
>I've always found Ann Coulter highly entertaining, extremely intelligent and well informed, and a breath of fresh air.
Your post is a breath of fresh air.
I enjoyed reading it, and I share your fondness for Ann for the same reasons.
My frustration with the Republican party lately is that our elected Rebublicans are too PC to say anything even close to what Ann says.
>I can't help to not be sickened by her anorexic appearance
Have you seen the leg shot on the new book cover?
That's no anorexic thigh! :P
Sorry, the picture wasn't on the cover, but I've been seeing it all over the place in the past couple of days.
"I am saying if all you do is attack Ann for calling out a bunch of harpies, that the RATS have been using as a political attack dogs, on the grounds that they are victims and therefore can't be criticized, then you heave a political agenda, and it sure ain't that of Republicans"
You are twisting my intentions. You don't like it that I don't worship Ann and so you would really like it if you could make me out to be a bad guy.
If I look closer at my intentions I'll have to admit there is more to this than me not liking her style.
It rubs me the wrong the way that Ann is claiming her christianity inspires her to do this work.
Ann didn't just call these women harpies. For some strange reason she suggested that maybe these men were considering divorcing their wives (as if Ann would have a clue) and then suggested maybe they ought to hurry up and pose for Playboy.
Now...I could call these type of comments many things...childish, senseless, and certainly beneath Ann's previous work.
But I certainly wouldn't describe them as christian.
I have not once stated these widows are above criticism...you are projecting that on me.
I simply don't think one needs to sink into the sewer to refute them.
I also don't think it's necessary for conservatives to agree with each other 100% of time. Conservatives are as varied as any other group and I don't think Ann Coulter is above reproach just because she has been so brilliant in the past.
"How can we complain if we employ the same tactics?"
EXACTLY!!! THANK YOU!
"Anne's only problem is that she cannot suffer fools, has the same contempt I have for 7th century death cult, and isn't afraid of being sued by CAIR for saying so. "
I would disagree that this is Ann's "only" problem.
First time I've heard that.
Is it abridged?
Yep. Depends on the point of view, right?
You never heard of fighting fire with fire? The president and others are constrained from replying in kind, but our propagandists should not be. It all depends on the target, of course. High toned moral indignation can serve as well as billingsgate, but it should be Swiftian rather than pompous.
Why does the left get to be bare-knuckled, and we must wear soft gloves?
The left does not hesitate to say the most outrageous lies. Ann's telling the blunt truth in a way that the left claims is not polite.
I regard these rich widow's whinings to be an affront to the humbler widows of our volunteer servicemen. Ann's good friend was killed in one of the 9/11 planes and she doesn't trade on her grief the way these Jersey Ghouls do.
Ann's dead on. And her remarks are going to do us a lot more good than blue-nosed worrying about "what will the liberals think of us?" I already know what they think of us.
After this week, the Fabulous Four are not going to have the same currency they had before Ann spoke out. It's going to be fresh on everyone's minds that there is such a thing as addiction to attention (celebrity), and these widows have been compensated more highly than other widows of violence.
The Politics of Victimhood has taken a body blow, and I'm nothing but cheerful about it.
does she talk as fast on that as in real life though?
Not really, about the same I guess .
When not battling with idiots ,out to run her down ,
Miss Coulter is quite calm and her words flow and are easy to understand and the CD's are actually very pleasant to listen to. Be prepared to laugh your booty off as well! She is darn funny at times.
