Impressive. Sounds like we might need to fit Jack out for his horned helmet and wooden shield. Since he's been de-clawed he'll need a battle axe as well.

Spook would disappear (literally, poof. gone.), Cayanne would be asleep by the food dish. Nope, the catz only terrorize me.

the funny thing is, the cat doesn't know he is de-clawed.

My mom had a cat that would chase off foxes but I don't think he'd have taken on a bear. Now if that bear had tried to make off with his kitty snacks - that would have been a different story.

15 lbs is pretty hefty for a cat. And if he's an outdoor cat with no claws (boo! hiss!) he's got an attitude. I wouldn't mess with him.
Ponder this..... humans pretty much keep ONLY carnivores as household pets. What would the aliens think?

I had a cat that was that protective. She was a rescue and was always was trying to pay me back for it. I loved her dearly.

Except for gerbils, hamsters, mice, rats, birds, rabbits, ducks, chickens, etc. Yes, I've seen chickens as pets, makes no sense to me though.

Smokey, when we rescued him, had been de-clawed. He lasted 15 years, mostly as an outside cat. He had been run over by a car, almost eaten by a dog, shot, during his adventures and in his last two years was blind. He regularly brought home baby squirrels, snakes, and mice. Even blind.
One day, I had annoyed him, somehow, (grumpy old fart) and he punched me with his clawless paw. It hurt. He weighed about 18 lbs. Big old grumpy siamese. I miss him.

95% of household pets are carnivores. And chickens will eat each other. Ferrets are the nastiest little carnivores we keep, but a big old mastif can weigh 10 times the amount of the baby that they play with.
It's good to be the leading omnivore on the planet, to have dominion over every creature that walks, flies, crawls or swims, To drive their women and children before us, and hear their lamentations.... Oops.. got carried away, that last was the muzzies.
