Would he get the point if a 5 gallon pail of tar and a lb bag of feathers were delivered to his office?

thanks...I remember a video of an elderly lady with a handgun being ripped out of her hand, being forced to leave her place.
I also remember a couple of videos of a band of armed citizens that the police & feds totally avoided.

Damn.
This Riley dude has backpedaled some from what he was saying in yesterday's reports, but oddly enough, today's statements seem even more repugnant, and at the same time, bizarre.
When LA passed it's law against confiscation during disasters did they include language that made violation a crime?
A lot of states have laws that prohibit their own governments from doing things like that, but it seems too few of them carry any sort of penalty. The state confiscating legally possessed goods from a citizen is, in fact, armed robbery and ought to be treated as such in law.

Total BS! How are you supposed to prove ownership unless it's a pistol you have a carry permit for? I am confused by your statement, what is a pistol you have a carry permit for?
I have a carry permit, I can carry whatever I want to.

Legally - Right, you always remember where the receipt for the pistol you bought 10 years ago is in a flood or hurricane. "Honey, you hold the baby and her bottle while I look in the roll-top desk for my gun's receipt."

I believe it works that way in NY or at least NYC. I think some other places as well.It appears you are using conjecture, not facts. There is a difference between a permit to purchase, versus a permit to carry.

Hell, that's nothing, in New London, CT they take peoples homes whether or not you can prove its yours. I'd put an "LOL" but it's not a laughing matter.

This is a fantasy on the part of phony tough guys with badges. These cops are more accustomed to wrestling guns away from little old ladies, then they are fighting real men. Pretty much my first thought as well. NO is so corrupt that I wouldn't trust the cops to do the right thing more times than not anyway. It'll definitely be interesting when they run into a gaggle of thugs.

Let's hope that NO stays out of harm's way until this buffoon is out of power. He's just begging for blood to be spilled.

Disputed the fact that the cops disarmed citizens?? Didn't this dope see the video of the jackbooted thug body-slamming the old lady? What a bunch of lying police crap.
To: stylin19a; Ellesu
Riley also disputed accounts that police had gone into homes and disarmed residents.
it's on video...is this guy a moron ?
"Pay no attention. That video is totally false."

Riley said that police did go into homes that had been abandoned or damaged after Katrina and,
Look! That shutter is broken, we're going in!

I bought most of my guns in the 60's and 70's when the Second Amendment was respected and gun control was not even considered in Amerika (yes, that's Amerika).
Who the hell thought back then that you would have to keep your receipts, a certification of a gift, an inheritance of the gun or any other paperwork so that you could prove ownership in the "brave new world" of today!
In a true emergency I will shoot to kill anyone who tries to take the only means I have to protect my life, family and property, and then I will shoot the ones who come for me for protecting myself after that.
Never, never in my earlier years in the America I used to know, would I have ever thought that that was a possibility.

Here's a link to a NYC permit:
http://www.packing.org/state/new_york_city/image.php?stateimage=64
It clearly lists the weapons the holder is authorised to carry. I don't know how many other permits are this way. I know Montana's is not. I don't think any police are going to take a weapon from a permit holder on less ohter circumstances are involved, like intoxication, ect.
