I'm 36 - I had the boosters as a kid - I went to college in Virginia for two years - there was an outbreak of measles there, so I got a measles shot, then I transferred to a school in LA - guess what, another shot. Fast forward 13 years and I'm pregnant - the doc says "you don't have immunity to measles, so just be careful around kids that might have them." That was my first clue that vacs don't provide immunity. :)
The doctor I had was a real gem, I have different insurance and am in a different state now, and I'm pretty sure Kaiser won't be as cool about it - but she's so dang healthy there's not really reasons for doctor visits at this point.
That happened to me too. In 85. I not only had the vaccine in the 50's but got actual German Measles from it. Then I was told that I wasn't immune. Made no sense to me. I was simply told that anyone immunised in the 50's was not immune.
I was told I had to have the shots for MMR and Chickenpox, in order to get my nursing license. I said I'd had them all. They offered to test the immune titers instead, at the hospital that hired me, and found they were all above the levels needed for immunity. I got out of mandatory shots that way...not that I could have taken the shots--I'm allergic to eggs, which they were cultured in, at the time.
This is nothing more than a holier-than-thou type angry because modern medicine has short-circuited what he thinks is the Wrath of God on all those immoral folks who, GASP, have sex outside of marriage.
Things that make ya go "huh". :)
That's not what he said.
The Human Papilloma Virus, for example, is just one sexually transmitted disease, but it has over 100 different strains! Only a small number of these strains actually lead to cancer and most of its victims dont know they have it and cure themselves over time.
Now, to put it into even clearer perspective: the much-touted HPV vaccine treats only two strains of HPV and two strains of genital warts
What he said was that there are those who will believe themselves to be more protected that they really are.
Interesting, according to my mom (who at almost 70 I take her word more then the doctor :) ) there are three forms of measles - German, 3 day and 12 day - the 12 day one makes you immune to 3 day but not visa versa - and the German Measles is separate entirely. I've NEVER been able to ind that anywhere - but I tend to believe her.
I'd believe her too. I just remember being very sick and having to wear sunglasses indoors.
Measles, I don't remember, but I had them. Mumps, I remember, my grandma (who lived through the Spanish Flu epidemic) rocked me, sitting on her lap, in a big old sqeaky rocker, to comfort me...chicken pox, I remember the cool baths and calamine lotion to relieve the itch, except I had one in my ear, and one on an eyelid that were really awful...baby brother had to wear socks on his hands so he wouldn't scratch himself...
I'm actually mighty surprised that a devout Jewish person would carry on like that. 99.99% of them that I have met, are far smarter and deeper than Alama mama. That being said, the Orthodox Union has really gone wacky if it is clamoring for a Fed tax subsidy for a "technology" that is not only highly odious to religious Christians but also a long way from proving that it could ever save a life (the excuse-all under Jewish law for what would otherwise be a sin, except for blasphemy and adultery).
The cure for cervical cancer weakens the cervix and puts future babies at risk. Google "incompetent cervix" to see how many perfectly healthy babies die because mom's cervix was too weak to carry them to term. If cervical cancer is prevented rather than cured after the fact, some of these babies will live.
It is not mandatory to be vaccinated to go to school.
True when vaccines for childhood diseases were first created it WAS a good thing.
When the DAMNED pharmacuticle companies like Merck added Thimerasol to the vaccines and the incidence of autism, ADHD and ADD went up 270% parents had a right to be outraged and to protect their children.
Congressmen Burton exposed all the lies and corruption in the false reports put ou by those companies like Merck.
Thimersol was is and has been banned in Europe for years.
Senator Grassly has been trying to get an investigation into the corruption between the FDA and the pharmacuticle companies.
The FDA needs to be investigated as one of the most corrupt organizations in the USA!
They have let more terrible "medicines" on the market with side effects worse than the diseases.
Thimerasol is finally "supposed" to be out of the vaccinations. Some States have banned it in any vaccine.
The fear of the pharmacuticle companies is if they remove it all at once and the incidence of Autism, ADHD and ADD goes down 270% they will rightly be sued out of business.
Anyone believing the bogus reports put out saying there is no connection is gullable and has not done their homework.
These greedy companies with the help of the FDA have harmed our children. Then the greedy SOB's put drugs on the market to try to "help" these kids that they distroyed and they make more money.
Now look at all the side effects from the medications that are supposed to help these kids and it's even more frightening.
I hope the effects of Viox will wake up those too stupid too find out the truth. I hope the lawsuits either put these companies out of business or make them have to get it right!
So do I trust this new vaccine? NO!!!
The FDA can't be trusted and neither can the companies they continue to let put this stuff on the market.
I am thankful for people like Congressman Burton and Senator Grassly for trying to educate the American people.
Obviously reading the replys on this post it hasn't worked yet!
How would I be putting other people's children at risk? If they were "immunized" they have nothing to worry about right?
But go ahead, inject poison and who knows what into your kid's vains.
It's amazing how uninformed people are about the havoc that vaccines have caused our children. Let me guess, you don't believe there's enough evidence to indicate vaccines have caused any problems whatsoever.
Considering this latest drug comes from the "safety first" Merck that brought us Vioxx, doesn't this latest voodoo drug give you warm fuzzy feelings all over? At least they'll make lots of money. This is reminiscient of the uproar and shear panic during the flu vaccine shortage recently....
Gullible people.
The solution for the incompetent cervix problem is a simple one: a suture in place until the pregnancy ends. It's done all the time, even for people who don't have HPV or haven't had cervical ca.
Good question. I asked it too, and got no answer, just like you won't.
