Some are saying this year will be the hottest "Avg Temp Year" on record - we will just have to wait and see if they are right or wrong...

It's been cooler than normal here, but 400 years ago, weren't we in the middle of "The Little Ice Age"?

Hottest in 400 years? How did man make it so hot back then and what did he do to reduce temperatures for a couple centuries? < /sarc >

Their 155-page report said average global surface temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere rose about 1 degree during the 20th century. Wow. I wonder why this didn't make the headline? Amazing! We're going to boil away any minute.

400 years puts us right in the Mauder Minimum Sunspot cycle thus it is not any where near a "record". Just another way to manipulate the data to create a fraudulent conclusion. Comparing temperature of today with a period that contains numerous abnormally cold periods is intellectually absurd

400 years ago? I hope King James's climatologists were a little more accurate than his Bible translators. ;)

Little Climatic Optimum: Time period from 900 - 1200 AD
very very warm. Greenland farming and grape growing in England. (Of course, the next centuries were cold and damp and gave us the Black Death.)
The hysterics surrounding warming are great for the social engineers. It's warming, yes, but the earth does this over time.
