Hmmm, What? you don't even have a suggestion and you want to sit back a pick apart a "suggestion" and call it amnesty and use it as a weapon against this fine, viable candidate, when all Cannon is offering is complete amnesty. Do you see the holes in your logic.
As I have told you repeatedly, I'm neither endorsing nor criticizing Jacob's plan in our conversation. What I am objectively doing is labeling Jacob's plan as an amnesty.
Over, and over again Jacob has outlined the terms of compliance. 1 You must have lived here for an extended period of time (10 to 20 YEARS) 2 You must be able to show you have been a good citizen 3 No criminal history, paid taxes, gainfully employed 4 Comply with the terms of agreement by registering with the government and returning to your home country for reenty.
(My underline)
So what. As most would see illegal aliens who have been here 10 years or more would still get an unfair advantage. That is amnesty. Go ask Tom "The Godfather of anti-Illegal Immigration" Tancredo.
Arguably, it may be a good plan and arguably it may be a bad plan but with out a doubt there is an amnesty component to it.
You with your logic try to deny it. The holes in your logic (and Jacobs) are as porous as our border.
BTW, in your above punch-list, in Jacob's line item number #2, Jacob calls the illegal aliens "citizens".
LOLOL!
Too easy...
Jacob didn't call them citizens I did...and it was inaccurate I should have said good member of society. Are you satified.
Yes there is a component of amnesty, just like when you break the speed limit and you pay a fee...it is a plea of guilty in abeyance. It happens for misdemeanors each and every day in this the Greatest United States of America.
Go attack those politicians who have continued...and encouraged illegal immigration, and leave us well meaning but erroneous citizens alone. You accomplish nothing by impugning the candidate John Jacob or my misuse of the word "citizen" instead of member of society. At least put the blame where it lies...squarely on my shoulders for this particular slip of the tongue.
