The New York Times
September 24, 2001 Monday Late Edition - Final SECTION: Section A; Column 1; Editorial Desk; Pg. 30 LENGTH: 545 words HEADLINE: Finances of Terror
Organizing the hijacking of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon took significant sums of money. [snip] Washington and its allies must also disable the financial networks used by terrorists.
[snip]
Much more is needed, including stricter regulations, the recruitment of specialized investigators and greater cooperation with foreign banking authorities. There must also must be closer coordination among America's law enforcement, national security and financial regulatory agencies.
[snip]
Though some smaller financial transactions are likely to slip through undetected even after new rules are in place, much of the financing needed for major attacks could dry up.
[snip]
If America is going to wage a new kind of war against terrorism, it must act on all fronts, including the financial one.

Great job. It's out there now. HH picked it up and rightfully gives you credit:http://www.hughhewitt.com/
Nice job getting it out. At 121 I just noted Hugh Hewitt's mention. I am sure he will discuss it today...
"This would be hilarious if it weren't such a darned serious subject. The NY Times is apparently now upset that the Bush Administration followed its advice through this legal program."
Makes one wonder who in the Slimes power structure has been communicating with al Qaeda scum on the phone and maybe getting paid by al Qaeda.

"The New York Times--The Official Newsletter of the Fifth Column"
or as a freeper posted last night:
"Ny Slimes the official al Qaeda Tip Sheet"
Nice snag.
What this comes down to is the utter contempt that the NY Times has for President Bush. Period. How else can one explain their change in position from 2001 to 2006?
Good!

Thanks for the reply and link.
The seditious bastards in charge of the NY Slimes and their hired thugs hate GW so bad, they are endangering the lives of our families and every warrior we have in the Middle East.
Actually in this case and the other two, they have gone beyond propaganda.
They have entered into being active abettors of the al Qaeda serial killers with their seditious activities while pretending that they are just being a free press.
Why are the power elite at the NY Slimes and the thugs they employ so worried about the monitoring of phone calls to the al Qaeda Serial Killers and financial dealings with the al Qaeda Serial Killers.
Are they afraid that America might read about phone calls between their operatives an the al Qaeda serial killers and see data re money coming from al Qaeda in payment for their acts of sedition? The Slimes is hurting financially and would do anything to stay afloat.
Yup and they have to be exposed every time.
A lot of our Blogs are doing a good job of exposing their hate hit pieces.

Pinch wanted North Vietnam to win, then.
Pinch wants the Islamic terrorists to win now.
Why anyone would send Pinch and crowd any money is nuts.
Hopefully the stock price will continue to fall.
How many of us own mutual funds which own NY Slimes stock and even worse have increased their NYT holdings this year.
NYT investment by a mutual fund company is a terrible investment re the dollar loss in Stock value the last 2 years. Those investments in my view are an attempt to keep the NY Slimes afloat with our mutual fund $'s.
Now it is very evident that the NY Slimes is an agent and abettor of the al Qaeda Serial Killers. The Slimes is endangering the lives of our families, friends, innocent Americans and every warrior of ours.
Go to this link to see if your mutual fund owns NYT. Fidelity has increased its shares for some of its funds, and they will be hearing from me before the week is over.
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/invsub/ownership/ownership.asp
When the MS Money home page comes up, enter NYT into the search area and hit enter and the following screen will show up re ownership of the NY Slimes stock:

The next screen will show ownership of the NYT, NY Slimes Stock by each mutual fund. If the fund is an S&P 500, they have to own a % of their total investment in NYT.
Please ping this and send it to your email lists. Lets let these mutual fund companies know that we will not tolerate their backing of the NY Slimes as they aid and abett the al Qaeda serial killers and endanger our families, friends and innocent Americans as well as every American Warrior fighting the WOT.
I'll need to look into this later.
Really is odd for them to be invested in dying industries that are failing in part due to outright fraud (making up articles out of whole cloth).
Good point.

Time Magazine has/had a journalist embedded/undercover with the "insurgents". He was with them when Saddam was captured. He travelled into AQ seized towns.
I'm sure that the media doesn't want to have their communications with Al Qaida revealed. It would endanger their journalists and put them on the chopping block under charges of committing treason.
Wasn't their a recent series of statements from some journalist who reported that some key event (the death of Zarqawi?) was not troubling Al Qaida? He stated that he was in communication with them?
Great find!! This needs to get to every opinionator, reporter, editor, etc.... and also to everyone in the WH, RNC, Congress, etc. These words need to be thrown back at the NY Times traitors until they choke on them.
So 3 weeks after 9/11, with the ruins still smoldering and many of our dead not even accounted for, the brave editorialists of the NY Times could see the great and urgent need for an all-out assault on the financial networks utilized by terrorists. Yet, now that the left is in the "hate America" and "hate Bush" mode once again, it is time to trash the resulting programs and ensure that Al Qaeda and other terror groups will be as free as possible from scrutiny.
Great find!
