"Karen Finney, a spokeswoman for the Democratic National Committee, said the party would support its nominee this fall, whether it is Mr. Lieberman or Mr. Lamont."

The "support" will be pro forma if Lamont wins the nomination. Lamont will get no money from the DNC, and Lamont will just have to dip into his ample treasure chest.

It's difficult to understand how they could throw a safe winner like Lieberman under the bus over a single issue. The rage against the war must be everything for them. Lieberman is as far left as Ted Kennedy on everything except national security. It must be a litmus test for them. If you believe in the defense of our nation, you shouldn't be in office.

Watching the Kossacks destroy the Democratic Party from within is pretty entertaining. Pass the popcorn!

The Dems will not win either house this November. They will loose seats in both houses this November. Those Kos Kids are pulling the party right off the cliff. And when they loose this November it will not be a pretty sight.

Interesting how the NYTimes -- the great newspaper (ahem) -- quotes from the Daily Kos. Could that be their water reservoir where they all chug?

Does this potentially put Connecticut in play, giving the Republicans a chance to win the seat? That would be a very good way to add to the GOP majority!

Couple this with what's going on in Jersey.

Some nice Red on Red fighting going on here.

Doesn't exactly point to sweeping DIM gains in November.

Lieberman would be a RINO if he ever switched, but that's better than being a 'rat.

This will not be a good thing for us. Since there is nothing we can do about liarman's election, it is better for us that he win the rat primary. That way the rank and file rat has less reason to vote. In this case, more reason to vote means more rats to vote against shays, johnson and simmons, three sure votes for Hastert for Speaker. This is NOT a laughing matter. I am among the very most optimistic people on this site, but I try never to fool myself. This could be serious. We need liarman to win the rat primary.

Its Vietnam all over again. The Democrats are torn apart by their divisions over the war and they're driving out the few people who support America who are still inside the party. You have to marvel at these people's ability to turn wine into water in a year when things ought to be looking up for them.

(The Palestinian terrorist regime is the crisis and Israel's fist is the answer.)
