Rush Limbaugh's Dominican Stag Party
The Smoking Gun ^ | July 6, 2006 | Smoking Gun

Posted on 07/07/2006 7:39:13 AM PDT by RDTF

JULY 6--Rush Limbaugh was traveling with four other men--including the producers of the hit show "24"--when he was detained over a mislabeled bottle of Viagra found in his luggage during a Customs search. A Department of Homeland security passenger manifest shows that Limbaugh and his four buddies flew from the Dominican Republic on a Gulfstream IV jet owned by Premiere Radio Networks, which syndicates his radio program. Limbaugh returned to Palm Beach, Florida on June 26 with Joel Surnow, "24"'s co-creator and executive producer and Howard Gordon, another of the Fox hit's executive producers (Hollywood agent Jeffrey Benson was also part of the Limbaugh quintet). With all those guys in tow, it is unclear what Limbaugh needed with those 29 100mg Viagra pills. The passenger manifest was among several documents released today by the Palm Beach County State's Attorney in response to a TSG open records request. Included in the material released were a copy of the handwritten statement Limbaugh provided investigators after he was detained upon the discovery of the impotency drug. An affidavit sworn three days later by Limbaugh was also released. In that document, Limbaugh explains that the Viagra "was intended for my exclusive use" and that the drug had been prescribed in the name of his drug treatment doctor, Steven Strumwasser, "to further maintain and protect my privacy." Actually, they don't. I'm not a Liberal and I think he is a lying windbag.

I know this isn't Rush's plane, just a similar one...but is that the Saudi flag on the tail?

Not at all hit and run, in fact a few years ago before we knew that Rush was a drug addict, and before he lost his hearing due to his drug use, I put up a thread saying that I thought Rush had been doing a terrible job lately. Turns out I was right, it was when he was in the middle of his addiction. But everyone decided just to attack me, rather than comment on the subject I was bringing up.

As for the rest of your post...blah blah blah (typing in CAPS does nothing but make you look shrill)

It has nothing to do with HIPPA, its a public record of an action by customs officials.

Besides, the perscription wasn't even in Rush's name, which is a bit unethical don't you think?

'You are a Liberal, you are a Liberal.' Is that the best they can come up with if you dare to criticise the lying drug addict and suspected sex tourist Limbaugh?

Viagra should hire Rush to do ads for them. Vile lefties, they will stoop so low to bring someone down.

Why not? It worked for Bob Dole... Conservative means never having to say you're sorry.

It's incredible. Do you think Rush hypnotises these loons? I agree with your earlier observations about Limbaugh. Only in America, could such a windbag become a star. No wonder, Jerry Springer left England.

The "loons" you're talking about include William F. Buckley, Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas, Alan Reynolds, Ken Masugi, Michael Medved and Hugh Hewitt.

Like the other dittoheads, they are not uncritical supporters of every one of Rush's opinions, but rather among those who attest to his brilliance and skill.

The credit for the reason Rush is able to be a star in America goes to Ronald Reagan. The airwaves of the United States have always been free compared to those of other nations, even those of Britain, Canada and other first world Western nations, and when Ronald Regan rejected the Fairness Doctrine, they became even freer, opening the door to Rush to achieve market dominance though the power of his ideas and his articulation of same.

Perhaps, the Dominican Republic Tourist Board could also hire Rush.

I know, its sad, usually they pull up my date I started posting, so they can call me a newbie, but when they realize I've been here longer, its back to the standard lazy response, liberal, DU etc.

I don't begrudge Rush's sucess, good for him, however its pretty laughable how some folk have sore necks from turning their heads every time he does something stupid. Nearly all radio guys are just showmen, its schtick.

Pity you never got to hear Phil Hendrie, he turned talk radio inside out and exposed how phony it is by making his show a blatently phony performance with him doing the voices of his guests and relying on ignorant callers to help with his performances.

I wouldn't call the DR a sex tourist destination, not like some of the nasty places in SE Asia where the Germans (its always the Germans) or guys like Gary Glitter or TBF go.

I got a friend in the DR, I really need to get down there.

It's actually supposed to be a good holiday destination. Normal people, who don't pack 29 sex tablets in their suitcase, might enjoy the great weather, cheap food and booze and scenery.

I thought I heard a comment about intestinal blockage.

You did. Viagra is prescribed for all sorts of things these days. I recently saw some news segment on TV about a baby (premature?) being prescribed Viagra.

>The [Dominican] answered: "Ah yes, a novena, a wonderful prayer. But what, pray tell, is a Lexus?" So he asked a Jesuit priest, who responded: "Ah yes, a Lexus; reliable, stylish, a well built car. But what, pray tell, is a novena?

KINDERMAN

Let me tell you how Father, and please confidential. Burke Dennings, good Father, was found at the bottom of those steps leading to 'M' Street, with his head turned completely around. Facing backwards.

KARRAS

Couldn't it of happened on the fall.

KINDERMAN

It's possible. Possible however…

KARRAS

Unlikely.

KINDERMAN

Exactly. So on the one hand we've got a witchcraft type of murder and a Black Mass style of desecration in the church.

KARRAS

You think the killer and the desecrator are the same?

KINDERMAN

Maybe somebody crazy, someone with a spite against the church, some unconscious rebellion, perhaps.

KARRAS

Sick priest, is that it?

KINDERMAN

Look, Father this is hard for you- please. But for priests on the campus here, you're the psychiatrist; you'd know who was sick at the time, who wasn't. I mean this kind of sickness. You'd know that.

KARRAS
I don't know anyone who fits the description.

. . .

KINDERMAN

One last time: Can you think of some priest who fits the bill?

KARRAS

Come on!

KINDERMAN

Answer the question, Father Paranoia.

KARRAS

Alright. You know who I think really did it?

KINDERMAN

Who?

KARRAS

The Dominicans. Go pick on them.

KINDERMAN

I could have you deported, you know that?

When I listen to Rush I get the feeling I have attention deficit disorder. I can't follow his tangents so I just tune out.

Did hear him say he didn't care who filled in for him next week......but I perked up when I heard Paul W. Smith. He did a great job last week.

Two questions regarding the "bottle of 29 viagra tablets" that TSG seems to have forgotten...

Rx bottles have a date of the Rx. When was it perscribed? How long has he had that Rx? Rush said that it had been perscribed some time ago, ahd he had forgotten about it. And secondly, the bottle has the number of tablets perscribed as well. Rush said it was for 30. So the question is "why did Rush only use one of the tablets since it was perscribed?"

They purposely make it sound like he was took 29 viagra while there, as opposed to bringing 29 back with him.

Nope, no bias here!

Mark
