n LAPD officer was injured and several demonstrators were arrested at an anti-illegal immigration protest Saturday evening in Hollywood.
LAPD spokesperson Sandra Escalante says the female officer apparently hurt her ankle while clashing with protesters.
Escalante said "several" arrests were made.
The rally, attended by various anti-illegal immigration groups, took place at Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle Avenue. The crowd was estimated at about 200.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Lots of Red, White, and Blue--so pretty.
What is with the flag draped coffin? I'm a bit fed up with the Vets for Peace doing that so I was rather shocked to see that at this rally.
"anti-illegal immigration protest"
hmmm.......something about that wording.....
What kind of flag is that guy holding who's wearing the "Ranger" shirt? yellow stars?

You guys do great work.
Even if they had no signs, you can always tell the leftie side of the street.
How nice, the American Flag is on the ground.
But I wish Ted Hayes wouldn't wear it like that...
Where's the video? And who hurt the cop?
I noticed that too. I'm not so informed on flag protocol. Is that considered a no, no.
I'm thinking that's the group with which the scuffle occurred resulting in the police officer's injury.
Too bad the headline wasn't about the "illegal anti-illegal illegal alien" rally. It's amazing into what knots the MSM ties itself. MSM - deadmen walking. They can't fall over and rot in hell soon enough.
Great pics. Thank you so much for posting them :)
Hope the cop will be okay.
Of course the cop was inured trying to control he leftists.
When the Freepers held a march in Nov 2000 for Bush in downtown SF, we had the cops thanking us! They said they wished every group was as well behaved as we were. We gave them three cheers when we were done.
Yes, pretty much....especially in the fairly intact flag design he's sporting.....personally, I wouldn't wear a shirt like that.
