SoCal FReeper Picnic--Join JimRob @ Ronald Reagan Library Saturday July 22!
self

Posted on 07/11/2006 9:51:40 PM PDT by The Spirit Of Allegiance

Jim Robinson and a bunch of FReepers are going Saturday July 22 to the Ronald Reagan Library and Museum in Simi Valley -- Come join us! There is a LOT to see, so if you can, arrive between 10 and noon for a head start. Jim & Crew will probably arrive about noon and we'll have lunch, then most of us will tour as a group in the afternoon.

At NOON, find the tables near the Berlin Wall display--there are tables where we can picnic. Bring Your Own--or bring enough to share! There is covered seating for 100, 1st come 1st served.

Make a crazy FR Badge or nametag! Bring cameras! Bring sunscreen and water. And...you might bring some American flags and signs in case we find a FReeping opportunity, ya never know....

Dinner will be off-site, location to be announced later.

"RSVP" by bumping this thread!

CARPOOLS, ANYONE?
We've got people coming from Fresno, San Diego, the Inland Empire, Los Angeles---so if you want to carpool from one of these main areas, mention the general area you are coming from and your interest in carpooling, then work out the details by FREEPMAILing.

HELP STAMP OUT FREEPATHONS!
If you haven't contributed to the Fund to Fight Freepathons, click this link before RSVPing. Or after RSVPing. Or both!

Darn. A vacation gets in the way or I'd be there in a New York minute.

.....yes....a great place with tons of historical artifacts plus Air Force One......one thing, since it is summer. If it is crowded, parking can be a bitch since the lot is not that huge and you can end of parking on the winding road up there.....I went in Dec when it was pouring rain and managed to get parking....but there were tons of cars parked up to a 1/2 mile down the hill........Great trip for all though.....I got the chills and teared up just standing at the magnificent grave site.....

O.K. But if they haven't caught that tiger I'm bringing egg salad. If the tiger's history then it's pastrami. Tigers don't like potato salad do they?
