NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - CBS News for the first time is opening its decades of archives to the public through a deal with online retailers CustomFlix and Amazon.com.
The deal initially will offer access to dozens of full-length reports and segments from the "CBS Evening News" and "60 Minutes" that have aired since 2000. But in the future, CBS News will offer footage stretching back to the 1950s.

I'm sure their gonna push the "Nixon was evil clips". /s
They are going to call the news clips "Rather Blather".
And in which section will the moon landings be?
Will they have the clip in which America's Anchorman, while yacting with the Clintons, tells us how much like National Socialist today's Republicans are?
That's good. Problem is most of it is fiction. Hahahaha.
In all seriousness, are there some reports that would be considered classic? I am a history buff, this could be interesting.
Katie Couric unbuttoning her bow tie, hoisting the microphone. "Thank you, Gallagher! It's the 20th hour of the show, ladies and gentlemen, and we're halfway to our goal! Here's a tribute to Ed Bradley, watch this, it's great! Can I get a vodka and tonic up here?"
Hopefully they will include behind the scenes production clips on how to produce Air National Guard memos.
Roach clips, I assume! ;-P
Yes,many are likely to be classics...including the interview that several of the 60 Minutes "correspondents" conducted in which they all but gave the Clintons oral sex at the end.I recall Rather,I think, saying something like "well,if we could be half as wonderful as you,Mrs Clinton...".
Can't wait till FOX offers this. I really want to buy the clip of Sen. Rob't Byrd (D-KKK) saying, "There are white niggers."
Meh, I'm waiting for the NFL to start selling vintage games over the web.
Courage
Just what the world needs....reruns of Walter Crankcase.
