In explaining his decision to leave, campaign manager Glenn Hodas echoed predecessors Jamie Miller and Jim Dornan

Any relation to B-1 Bob?

Anybody ever see The Candidate with Robert Redford? Good stuff, he was running as guaranteed loser candidate. I especially liked the last line in the movie.

I'll put this out there, and no doubt be condemned for it...but I'd sooner see Nelson in the Senate than a Republican who by all accounts has serious emotional/mental problems. Better that the Dems have another seat than we have to deal with someone in a national office with the potential to continually embarrass the party and hurt other GOP candidates by association.

Joe Scarborough, partying friend of Gary Condit.

I never kept up with Joe and the dead intern...but he resigned/quit and high tailed it back to Florida in such a hurry it made all our heads spin. I always wondered why. Was someone sending him a message or what?

I find it very ironic that those that do not even know this Lady. Seem to be bashing her based on a few individuals who seem to have a history of doing so. Yet none of them even live in her district..Yet there sources are liberal news links that make a history here in Florida of spreading lies and smearing her..She is a true conservative and for that this is the way she is treated. Just maybe some of you should look at her web site and look at what she has done and the bills she has got passed...She did not go along with the administration with their immigration plan..For that she lost their support..She is her own person...I find it sad that those who recently walked out on her did so at a time she has to go through test to find out if she has cancer...I have no respect for them for their personal comments they have made to some of our local media...She is one class act and decent person...Just maybe the question should be asked of those bashing her what their motive is...

I knew John Kasich was part of the Condit crowd. Didn't realize Scarborough was too.

These guys were up to no good at all. Wouldn't be the first time an intern died because she knew too much.

My only motive is protecting conservative values. When I see a GOP candidate who can't seem to keep a congressional staff or a campaign staff longer than a few months - and multiple sources make thinly veiled comments about her sanity - I tend to think it might be better to cut our losses. People like this in office can be dangerous to the party as a whole. We ridicule the Dems by talking up Murtha, McKinney, Kennedy, et al because they are the perfect caricature; let's not supply our own caricature.

Just for information McBride is a trial lawyer...One article I read on him said his speicality was immigration law...Just maybe that has something to do with all of this bashing of her...

I live in FLorida, and I honestly don't know what's going on. Somebody today told me that KH is not popular with her staff or anybody else because she's a "phone thrower." That was a term we used to use in NYC for bosses who reacted to anything they didn't like by hurling their phones across the room. May sound funny, but I worked in the communications area for some time and we had to replace many phones because these jerks had smashed them on their desks, thrown them at their secretaries, etc.

If she is a phone thrower, she's no different from many others. No better and no worse. Many high-level people - including many senators - fall into that category.

The big question is whether she would be good at her job. At this point, I really don't know, although there's so much negative press about her that I honestly don't think she has a chance of getting elected. However, we have to remember that she was tough as nails during the miserable 2000 election and simply played by the book and stuck it out, doing nothing positive for Jeb except simply reading the laws and following them - at great personal cost. The problem with phone throwers is that they may be awful to work for, but that same ugly streak can make them great at getting things done.

Maybe if we can get personalities and personal agendas out of the way, we can find a way of defeating him....we can find a way of defeating him

Ditch Harris. The longer Harris stays in, the better Nelson's chances of being re-elected become.

Until someone can explain why all these staffers are leaving the campaign on such bad terms, it doesn't make much sense to claim that there's a smear campaign going on. A dozen people generally don't give up months of their lives for a cause they intend to sabotage later.

Isn't is curious how TWO heroes of the 2000 Presidential election debacle in just 6 years turn out to be persona non-grata in the GOP.

I really thought Harris would be a star and honestly thought Joe could take Nelson's seat if he so chose.

Both a big disappointments!

Most of the information that I have seen posted here about her comes from some of our local news papers. They are no friends to Republicans or conservatives period..I know I live here..I have friends who are vets...She has helped them on more than one occasion...They have nothing but respect...You can listen to those who do not know her or just maybe from someone who does...Just maybe the staff she got rid of was not taking care of her constituents or doing their job...I do know that she expects allot out of her staff and that is not a bad attribute...She is a strong 2nd Amendment advocate and a gun owner, has a CCW...If you want to find out about her...Just pull up her web site..It has allot of usefull information......Including the bills and many of the things she supports..If you want a strong conservative in office then help elect her...

She has never ever lost a state wide election....The one thing that could side line her is if she has cancer...She is a figher and that is one reason that I like her so...I spent a bunch of years in the military...I do not walk out on those who have supported vets....period...I want Nelson defeated as much as anybody...I can tell you this it will not be McBride if something happens...The last thing we need is one more lawyer in office...

Just maybe the staff she got rid of was not taking care of her constituents or doing their job.

"Got rid of?" LOL! These people are quitting the campaign. I read yesterday that she also has high turnover among her congressional staff.

As someone who is in management, let me give you some advice. When everyone leaves a department on bad terms, it's stupendously unlikely that it's anyone's fault other than the department head. Occam's Razor, and all that.

She didn't get rid of anyone, they quit. If your local papers are saying she got rid of them, it's probably time you started reading other news outlets.
