You and I knew it, but the US media lives on a different planet and don't operate by the same standards we do. And that quote I provided you was actually something I read.

I wasn't throwing the "BS" at you,

Indeed, as I said, EVERYONE knew what a low class boor clinton was.

Clinton was given a pass by the pathetic partisan kool-aid-drinkers who could only hope that at least in their dreams "their president" would visit his pleasure upon them...................

I don't think it was "groping" or anything to the like.

Not sure it was a good choice though...

No offense taken, and I do agree this has been blown way out of proportion.

I missed the rest of it too. MSNBC pre empted the car chase with "Hardball." What are they thinking? Actually, Matthews is doing a pretty good job of anchoring reports from all over the ME.

It's true that the video is listed under those terms...and is described in the title that way. It wasn't entered by MSNBC that way, but by a poster of the video, who described the video thus:
After stumbling from Putin's smackdown at his suggestion that Russia ought to emulate the democracy in Iraq to babbling about wanting to eat a pig to getting caught on tape cursing while chomping on a roll, Bush channeled the Creepy Guy at Work who gives a female coworker an unwanted massage, much to his repulsed target's chagrin.

While I'm sure Bush meant it in a friendly way, it really is a sign of disrespect for another head of state and for the forum in which they were meeting. If someone had shown up in a t-shirt, would FReepers be saying, "ah, it's just the informal way of that leader"? Would we laugh it off if Chirac patted President Bush on the head sometime?

Wow...the original was Jacques Chirac at La Tour Eiffel, right? (Take a look at it.)

LOL

Gropping? He is just touching her knee. I think this is as ridiculous as the President Bush massaging the shoulders of German women. No story!!!

My take on Merkel's expression was entirely different, and here's why.

In my family, we do a lot of shoulder rubbing, call it a family tradition, (it's probably because we all carry our "stress" in our shoulder muscles.)

Anyhoo, if I were to rub my sister's shoulders, like Bush did to Merkel, she would make exactly the same gesture...why...because it hurts her, and she reacts just like Merkel, raises her shoulders, throws her hands up and then pushes the "shoulder rubber" away.

When I saw the photos, that's immediately what I thought of, the poor woman must have had a bad shoulder ache (perhaps mentioned it to the Prez) and when he grabbed her shoulders and started rubbing, it hurt like heck, so she reacted to the pain.

May not have been the case at all, but that's what I thought of when I saw it.

GWB is enjoying the MSM go nuts over "the massage". He knows his movements are eagle-eyed.....so... he poked at the little piggies...and they squealed. *chuckle* Gotta love it!

If my wife ever saw me doing to another woman what the President did to Angela Merkel, she would cut off some things of mine.

JMHO but if what you say is true you both might want to nip the problem in the bud and get some counseling as there seems to be a 'trust' issue here.

There was absolutely nothing wrong or sexual with what President Bush did. It's just one way of getting a friends attention or acknowledging them without yelling at them when someone else is speaking.

But Clinton getting a blow job from Monica "I can't get this stain off my dress" Lewinski is perfectly normal.

Yeah, right.
