I can't tell the difference between the NEA and NAMBLA anymore.

Gee, nice to see they have their priorities straight.

I am NOT going to put my kids into public schools as long as these immoral sick fools are running them.
Funny, I wonder what percentage of these "Teachers" put their OWN kids into Private school. I wonder the hell why? (not)

The biggest failing of the W administration, in my opinion: failure to fight long and hard for school vouchers.

NEA voted to replace the word "tolerance" toward homosexuality with "acceptance and respect" in union policies. People, including teachers, have a First Amendment right to believe that homosexual activity is immoral. What a crock!

I wonder if their "acceptance and respect" policy applies to conservative Christians who send their kids to public schools. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

"We should teach acceptance and respect, not tolerance, of those who are different from us wherever appropriate."that's going too far, and is far beyond the authority any teacher should have over any pupil, and beyond any authority an employer should have over any employee.

NEA recommended that gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues be required content for teacher credentialing. (Teachers would be forced to undergo sensitivity training concerning homosexuality before they could be certified to teach.) Here is the wording of the resolution: "That NEA advocate for the inclusion of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender issues in the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) teacher education program review process." NEA has already contacted NCATE about this. And some people still wonder why American kids are falling further and further behind most other countries kids. More and more time is devoted to these ridiculous social experiments and programs and less and less time devoted to reading, writing, math, science, etc.
We will end up a very stupid kids, but they will be socially acceptable to the liberal perverts.

Tell me why the statement you wrote above is "a crock". it seems likely that it is the NEA policy which is castigated as "a crock"

No surprise -- the NEA and the rest of the liberal academic establishment are pushing the QUEER AGENDA upon our children. This pervsion goes UNCHECKED by our Congress as usual -- its all about PC votes.
If I had to educate my kids again, they would NEVER SET A FOOT NEAR A GOVERNMENT LIBERAL "SCHOOL".

It would have been a good idea to help break the NEA hold on education. As it is NEA is out to gut and destroy the testing and accountability (union members lose jobs) parts of No Child Left Behind.
Too many "moderate" Republicans who are NEA puppets to prevent a Federal voucher program in Congress.
