St. Paul police cite Sen. Norm Coleman's father for lewd and disorderly conduct

Norm Coleman Sr., the father of Minnesota's junior senator, was cited for lewd and disorderly conduct Tuesday after police officers reported finding him engaged in a sex act in a car near a pizzeria on E. 7th St. in St. Paul.

A police report said officers were called to Savoy Inn at 7:40 p.m. to investigate a report that two people were having sex in a car.

Not sure how conservative a Republican he is. But It was good to see him beat Mondale after the Democrats held a party at Wellstone's funeral.

He's pro-life, pro-second ammendment, strong on foreign policy, with a little moderation on spending and environmental issues. He's also generally a pretty good team player. IOW he's pretty darn good for Minnesota.

How about the response time of the cops? If you are an 81 year old man and having sex in a car with a 38 year old woman you aren't going to be flagrant delicti for a very long period of time. 3-4 minutes tops. The cops get a phone call and arrive at the scene of the alleged crime in record time to catch Mr. Coleman in a compromising situation and make the bust.

In most big cities the cops respond to serious crime in the order that they come in, using a crime triage, if you will. Apparently, 81 year old men copulating in a car is high on the priority list because they aren't going to be long either in the coital position or on this earth. If you want the fine money then you have to get them while they are still alive.
