Hezbollah Invading U.S. From Mexico
newsmax.com ^ | 7/27/06 | unknown

"We've had Hezbollah agents that came across the border with Mexico," Jerome Corsi, co-author of "Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America's Borders", told Sean Hannity during an appearance Wednesday night on Fox News Hannity & Colmes.

Appearing with co-author and Minuteman co-founder Jim Gilchrist, Corsi agreed with Hannity that border security is important for national security because Hezbollah terrorists could be coming across the border with weapons of mass destruction.

FDR was a great leader during WWII but his policies brought about the Cold War. Reagan ended the Cold War but erred in pulling marines out of Lebanon. The border is Bush's blindspot and I'm afraid (to put it mildly) that it will haunt us for generations.

Nonsense. When you leave your door open at night in a high crime area, you don't need anyone to pray for it before burglars illegally enter your house and rob you or kill your family. You are the kook here, not Corsi.

You're right. But don't feed the troll.

Hezbollah terrorists could be coming across the border with weapons of mass destruction

All they need is one shoulder fired missile to instill panic ala 9/11.

"The border is Bush's blindspot and I'm afraid (to put it mildly) that it will haunt us for generations."

Correct on every point.
Its really puzzling that for such a clear eyed thinker, Bush has simply blocked his mind to thinking this through.
Its sometimes hard to believe some of the stuff he keeps saying on the illegal immigration issue.
This should be a no brainier.

The coordinated downing of dozens of airliners.
Still a real concern of mine.

Would you please explain to us all what Corsi's "agenda" might be?

"Guess we can add Corsi to the list of kooks who is praying for a terrorist attack on the United States in order to further his agenda."

Your agenda is mighty suspect too.

Why do you assume impure motives for people that are volunteering their time trying to help enforce laws that the US government refuses to do?

I've read many of your posts and simply do not understand your antagonistic attitude towards people that want our border laws enforced.

You making big bucks as a Coyote, or do you hire a bunch of illegals?

I don't like the smell of YOUR agenda, pal.

You have just nailed it. I've been seeing this "ruling class" since the Kennedys reigned in the 60s and thought then, "Wow, we have our own royalty!". All my folks are deep south people, none of us geehawed to the Kennedy mantras, saw the king building going on...

One of the most destructive "cells" within that group was the "Rat Pack" and their connections to crime lords. The only thing is, they were their own worst enemy and basically destroyed themselves before they could destroy our country.

Guess we can add Corsi to the list of kooks who is praying for a terrorist attack on the United States in order to further his agenda.

Congratulations. You have written the single most stupid thing I have ever read on Free Republic.

As you can see from this graph, all the test subjects who read your sentence had an immediate and long term reduction in intelligence:

"Corsi agreed with Hannity that border security is important for national security because Hezbollah terrorists COULD be coming across the border with weapons of mass destruction."

Before I comment let me say YES WE DO HAVE HOLES IN OUR BORDER THAT STILL NEED CLOSING AND THE PRIORITY ON CAPITAL HILL AND AT THE WHITE HOUSE IS NOT HIGH ENOUGH. That being said, I believe there is way to much sensationalizing the holes in the Mexico border stories.
For example the headline reads, “Hezbollah Invading U.S. from Mexico”, but when you read the interview the co-author says if we don’t secure the border it COULD happen. They said the same thing about Al-Qaida but Hezbollah is the scary terrorist of the moment.

Newsmax is famous for very misleading titles to their articles. It is one of their MAJOR faults!

During WWII, a lost, disoriented and hungry blond, blue-eyed young man in a long wool coat (wool! in S. Texas!) and carrying a boxy radio came to my grandparents' door (near the Border in S. Texas) asking for food in PERFECT (too perfect) Spanish and offering to pay with a thick wad of cash (nobody had that kind of cash in those days).
He got a "taquito" handed to him, no charge, and was sent on his way. Some little boys tailed him and came back that night telling my grandpa that the man was in a burned out shack, had built a fire, and was "talking funny" into the radio.
My grandpa and some of the men in the area "went out for the night" and came back about dawn, refusing to ever speak of what transpired.
