Here is an UPDATE from VoteDODGE.com:

Ann Coulter (bio)
Author of Godless - The Church of Liberalism
Cordially Invites You to Join Her
in Launching the Campaign to Elect

Jeffers MacArthur Dodge
to the
California Assembly - District 47
Friday, August 4, 2006

"Jeffers I really really DO want to help -- you would be a great representative!" - Ann Coulter

"I am completely honored Ann Coulter chose to support my campaign and me.
She could have chosen any number of nominees or races to support and fundraise for ...
Ann believes in my unique Campaign Strategy to WIN the 47th Assembly District Race
and send another conservative to Sacramento. I look forward to sharing and discussing my strategy with you
during "An Evening with Ann" and appreciate your financial support." - Jeffers Dodge

August 4th is rapidly approaching!

This will be an intimate event at a location fitting for Ann -- at the Culver Studios in Culver City.
Since 1918, they have been serving the visionaries, the mavericks and the independents
of the industry, from David O. Selznick to Orson Welles to Alfred Hitchcock.
Culver Studios -- commonly known as the place where "Gone With The Wind" was filmed.

Walk the lot and you may hear murmurs that the mansion building is Scarlett's beloved Tara.

About Us - Studio History

The Culver Studios is commonly known as the place where Gone With The Wind was filmed.

Walk the lot and you may hear murmurs that the mansion building is Scarlett's beloved Tara, it is not. The mansion was featured, but only in the credits as the backdrop for the logo of the then David O. Selznick Studios. Gone With The Wind was shot on Stages 11 & 12 in 1939. In those days the studio back lot stretched south of the existing studio all the way to the hills. All the exteriors of Tara, Twelve Oaks and the city of Atlanta were created on the back lot and torched for the filming of the burning of Atlanta sequence in the film.

Actually, it's David O Selznick. No "period". Just like Harry S Truman. They were just letters, no names.

As for the mansion, its front garden walk was used for same for Rhett & Scarlett's home.

I did not know that! I just explained to my 11 year old daughter that factoid... and she thinks that is some pretty cool info! Now, when she goes back to school, a sixth grader this year.. she will have quite the zinger to lay on her poor defensless educator!

Harry "s" Truman.. that's just funny!

Coulter is so nuts that I can't believe anyone would want her endorsement.

She just makes stuff up as she goes along, and not in a particularly coherent manner.

Thanks for your insight, artemesia1013.

As they say, de gustibus.

Or, more colloquially, as an old mentor once told me:
Opinions are like armpits:
Everybody has them,
and MOST of them stink! :o)

I'm not getting after you - I figured it was someone else that made the copy; but someone who should know! You'd think these people handling the site even these days would know. Guess they're not much in the way of historians. ;)

These are just some people who didn't have middle names (as I recall) and wanted something in the middle to add class and rhythm to it.

She is kind of nutty. But it's about time we had "wacko" people on our side - i.e., people all gung-ho for the cause and not held back by prevailing mores or worried about "offending" anyone. To succeed, I believe a cause has to have both rational circumspect intellectualism and dynamic zealotry - represented basically by 2 separate groups.

I was going to say the 1 real problem I have with Coulter's style is how funny quipping is printed in columns/books as if it is fact. When in truth she is being tongue-in-cheek. Sometimes, I myself have thought she was handing me a fact I didn't know about until a paragraph later I realize she's just joshing! You really have to be careful reading her "more serious" (-sounding) portions!

No harm, no foul.
The folks who put up the website for Culver Studios probably went to PUBLIC school.

Of all the topics and people to whine about, most liberals seem to choose conservatives like Ann Coulter, because she undermines their foundational liberal and/or godless ideology and goals.

The same people would hate almost every American conservative living for the first 200 years of our country who also opposed the fanatical, godless judicial activism employed by the far left to achieve their goals.

She works to expose the left and the RINOs, so they work to undermine her any way they can.
