72 hours of Hezbo's to regroup? I don't think so.

The French are goofy.
This is war, the side that is getting its ass kicked doesn't get the opportunity to call timeout to regroup.
Maybe they can get the next geneva convention to introduce a standing eight count into the rules of war.

Yeah. That'll do it! /s

....deplore...Ah, yes. Deplore. Nobody can "deplore" quite like those French, eh? "Deploring" is for girlie men.
Real men kick some ass.

"72-hour halt to fighting to evacuate the injured, children and elderly from southern Lebanon."
Once these people are behind Israeli lines, they can be taken care of much better than on the hezzbulah side. Any kind of ceasefire only gives the terrorists time to regroup, restock and re-energize.

Since the women, children and wounded surround the Hezzie positions, why should the international aid organizations bring food and supplies directly to them. If the Hezzies need supplies, let
them cease fire and withdraw to
their own supply points.
Otherwise, we see footage of Israeli rockets hitting UN supply vehicles and more innocent civilians as they respond to Hezzie rockets fired from amongst them. Wasn't the video and story about the four dead UN "peacekeepers" enough?

Word has it that France plans to offer Israel detailed data on their Maginot Line which, they assure the Israelis, will protect them from any misguided followers of the ROP.

Israel will not agree to a one sided ceasefire. One in which Hezbollah can regroup and rearm while Israel is prevented from going after it. If the French think Israel will accept such a deal, they're sadly mistaken.
