Al Gore warns of pole shift

Al Gore warning of the dangers of the impending pole shift

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore has been touring the world and making presentations of an impending global pole shift.

"The world is in a greater danger now than ever before", Mr. Gore said, "and the time for us to take action is drawing short".

"Any time between now and the year 2012 the earth will shift on its axis, causing massive flooding, worldwide suffering and death."

Mr. Gore also urged action on the part of his audiences, including massive migration of humans from one continent to another to shift the load on the earth and bring it back into balance.

"This truth might be inconvenient, but future generations are counting on us to take action now", he insisted, "and much better to relocate your home now than for your children and grandchildren to lose theirs in the future".

Mr. Gore has also been promoting his newest book, Earth Coming Unbalanced.

you're kidding...you've got to be kidding.................aren't you?

Actually, I read an article not that long ago that stated there's evidence of a number or magnetic pole shifts over the millenia. And current research is showing that the magnetic eddies within the molten core of the earth seem to be shifting. So it is possible.

However, it's not known what the effect will be. It could be anything from devastating (as in "we're all going to die!") to just needing to adjust magnetic compasses.

You guys seem pretty misinformed. There's *lots* of evidence and a pretty strong consensus on recent GW

There is *lots* of evidence the sun is going through an extremely hotter period as well. I know you can't reply, because you were severely overheated by the mods in the form of a ZOT.

But....but....I don't understand. Is this satire? It lacks a clear and obvious satire warning. This is a serious breach of etiquette!

Besides, I know Gore's real reason for these warnings. If the poles shift and the planet tilts, all the Chinese will fall off. There goes his constituency!

Will Algore sway the earth with his environazi doctrines?

In the classic movie, "The Great Dictator", Charlie Chaplin performs one of the most famous and indelible sequences in movie history.

Chaplin, playing the dictator Adolph Hitler, dances a graceful ballet with a globe of the planet Earth he seeks to rule.

When the balloon-globe eventually pops in his face, the great dictator cries like a spoiled child.

Now, freepers, go back and take a look at the photo pictured in the text at the top of this thread.

You had me going... Strangely enough, there is actual concern about the magnetic field weakening.

It has happened before and will happen again. Magnetic Reversal

On June 24, 1974, Time Magazine wrote that, “Climatological Cassandras are becoming increasingly apprehensive, for the weather aberrations they are studying may be the harbinger of another ice age.”

Hah, I knew it. 32 years ago, those alarmists were saying exactly the opposite of what they're saying now. I think all this alarmism is just intended to get more $ for climate research.

Hope you enjoyed your ZOT.

Do some research. Read the link I provided (http://www.junkscience.com/Greenhouse/) and educate yourself before you come back here under a different screen name and try to last more than 2 hours trolling.

You're right. But what's funny is that Gore is willing to jump on any "sky is falling" possibility. He's the original "millions could die" kind of guy.

Caring for the environment? That's really crazy...yeah.

There's a difference between "caring for the environment" and "worshipping the environment with religious devotion." There is a difference between taking the health of the environment into account by rationally balancing its health against other matters of equal or greater import, and irrationally making the environment into a sacred cow such that it trumps even human life.

Based on an objective consideration of the evidence, "global warming" is far more likely to be a natural phenomenon than a man-made one.

Losing the protection of the magnetic field from cosmic rays does make the planet a little more miserable until they fire up again.
