Woe Be Unto Those Who Offend "Little Ones"
8-1-06 | JOHN W LILLPOP

Posted on 08/02/2006 3:16:20 AM PDT by aerotsmith

Israel's air attack on Qana on July 30 resulted in the death of 37 children.

Hezbelloh has been accused on using civilians, including children, as human shields. The Israeli government claims that the death of innocent children was a "tragic mistake."

Regardless of the underlying facts, 37 precious children are dead. Victims of non-ending war in the Middle East.

Media images of those dead and mutilated children are haunting reminders of the horror of war and the carnage visited upon the most innocent and vulnerable among us.

Seeing dead and suffering children also brings to mind the stern warning issued by Jesus in Matthew 18: 6:

'But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.'

Jesus made no allowances for 'Collateral Damage' or 'Tragic Mistakes,' all too common during a bloody war.

The millstone would appear to apply to all who harm His 'Little Ones.'

However, although Jesus made no mention of intent, one can safely assume that the darkest, most punishing, corners of hell are reserved for those who deliberately use innocent children to wage war by using their young bodies as weapons of mass destruction.

Indeed, deliberately forcing a child to strap explosives to his or her body as a suicide bomber just to kill civilians, including other innocent children, is beyond comprehension.

Such barbaric behavior must surely be far more grievous than being party to an act of war in which children are mistakenly, and unintentionally, harmed.

Nearly 2000 years after Jesus, Israeli Prime Minister Golda Mier remarked that peace will be realized in the Middle East at such time as Muslim Arabs love their children more than they hate the Israelis.

Unfortunately, that day has not yet arrived.

Man's inhumanity toward man continues unabated, including unspeakable offenses against the world's 'Little Ones.'

Woe be unto those!

"What total unadulterated crap! IT MOST CERTAINLY GOES TO MOTIVE, HE LOOKS AT THE HEART! This sounds like goofball theology from some liberal denomination or peace group"

So, there is a missing scripture where Jesus says:

My previous warnings about offending Little Ones is unadulterated crap! If you have a good heart, be my guest---kill all the children who get in the way!

Sick!

One day, some unknown imams turned up in the village. They called the whole population to the plaza in front of the police station, and they announced that they came with good news from Imam Khomeini: The Islamic Army of Iran had been chosen to liberate the holy city Al Quds--Jerusalem--from the infidels. ... The local mullah had decided that every family with children would have to furnish one soldier of God. Because Hossein was the most easily expendable for his family, and because, in light of his illness, he could in any case not expect much happiness in this life, he was chosen by his father to represent the family in the struggle against the infidel devils.

Of the 20 children that went into battle with Hossein, only he and two others survived.

Der Spiegel as quoted at http://www.tnr.com/doc.mhtml?i=20060424&s=kuntzel042406
The Imans of Iran send thousands upon thousands of young children to death in the 1980 war against Iraq.

I can agree with that. But the solution is for the international community to work up some indignation at the terrorists for doing it,not at Israel for defending their children from the rockets. And Israel is not in a position to do nothing"

Agreed. Suggested nothing counter to that.

Thought I waw pretty clear that those who actually use their offspring as suicide bombers will be assigned to a special and awful part of hell.

Right. You shouldn't kill kids. The people who killed these kids are the Hezbians. They are the ones who uses them as human shields; the blood is on their hands.

"Why do you think this is a troll posting?? The bottom line is 'there will be peace when Arabs love their children more than they hate Jews'.

Seems about right to me....
"

Among other, more subtle propaganda points, the author of the vanity earlier wrote that "The Israeli government claims that the death of innocent children was a 'tragic mistake'," and further wrote that "Jesus made no allowances for 'Collateral Damage' or 'Tragic Mistakes'." And the author used the deaths of children to draw attention to those comments.

Jews were defamed and massacred in Europe so many times in the name of Jesus, that no one site or library has a very comprehensive collection of those incidents. So what is the author of the vanity above trying to say with the common, slippery accusations against Israel? Israel didn't start the fight. Israel has the right to its defense, and civilian casualties, athough fewer in numbers than in the past, are inevitable after other nations start wars against Israel.

It says "Israeli Prime Minister Golda Mier remarked that peace will be realized in the Middle East at such time as Muslim Arabs love their children more than they hate the Israelis."

... and he's right.

But without the word Muslim, the statement would be incorrect.

So just what does Israel do in response to rockets being launched at their children from the midst of civilians by Hizbollah terrorists,if they can't stop those rockets by returning fire to destroy the rockets?"

What do YOU think Jesus would say in response to you question?

Those who want to misuse scripture almost always take ONE ISOLATED VERSE to build an entire phony doctrine upon. And that's what being done here.

Yes,you were clear on that. But as far as there being no mitigating circumstances for Israel's actions,I ask again-what should Israel have done to stop those rockets that were deliberately targeting their children?

When these people start quoting the Bible,I wonder why they've never happened to see the part about the woe that will befall those who turn against Israel?"

So........its OK to kill children as long as one is not assaulting Israel???? That is how you think Jesus would preach??

SICK!

Wonder how Jesus feels about people using His name to attack His people to further their own political agenda?

Just making a point. We see that way too much lately.

It's the Death Cult that's the enemy, not a certain people.

So who is defaming Jews?? The tragic mistake quote comes from the Israeli military----their words.

As to collateral damage and tragic mistakes exclusions, I checked the entire Bible again. Not there@

I believe that this is one of those cases where Jesus would consider this something to be rendered to Caesar,as being Caesar's.

The proper conduct of war is not mentioned by Jesus. Are you one of the Dems who have decided to jump on the "religion" bandwagon,as they see it,for political gain? And you're prsenting the Dem version of Jesus as a "doe eyed hippie",as someone here so well put it? Because if so,it won't wash. It's the religious Right for a reason.
