A public alert was issued early this evening by Buffalo Police, warning that a gang could be staging rear-end collisions tonight on area roadways and then attacking drivers as part of an initiation ritual. Commissioner H. McCarthy Gipson called an emergency news conference at police headquarters just before 6:30 p.m. to make the announcement. He said police received "credible information" late this afternoon suggesting that the initiation ritual could involve gang member recruits intentionally causing rear-end collisions and then robbing or assaulting the other driver. Gipson suggested motorists be aware of their surroundings. If they do become involved in a...

On 3/27/08, the Delano Police Department Gang Unit received information that a California Criminal Street Gang is going to be holding gang initiations in the Cities of Delano and McFarland. Prospective members are to collide their vehicles into random vehicles from behind. As the driver of the victim vehicle exits, the prospective members will open fire. This information has not been substantiated nor do we know if it is credible. As always, the Delano Police Department is concerened with the safety of all Delano residents and therefore, we are strongly suggesting that everyone use extreme caution if they are involved...

Thomas X. Hammes is a retired Marine colonel. He is the author of a seminal book on conducting counter-insurgency warfare. The work is called "The Sling and the Stone: On War in the 21st Century." Recently, he made an intriguing proposal on how to battle jihadists on the Internet (a virtual agora where Islamist militants appear to consort with alarming frequency). This is what he said: "For the last few years, individuals and private organizations that are pro-Israeli have been in a daily fight to shut down or deface anti-Israeli Web sites. Unofficial and informal, this Internet Hagana has had...

The Council of Florence, the 17th Ecumenical (and hence “infallible”) Council of the Roman Catholic Church, said the following: It firmly believes, professes, and proclaims that those not living within the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics cannot become participants in eternal life, but will depart "into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels" [Matt. 25:41], unless before the end of life the same have been added to the flock; and that the unity of the ecclesiastical body is so strong that only to those remaining in it are the...

You'd think that they could finally understand that murdering a murderer is pretty much a given in the moral play. When will these people grow up already? You murder, you get murdered, period. Pretty simple.

"Jesus wasnt riding an elephant into town" There would probably be more believers if more Christians thought this way. I am grateful for the many GOP leaders have done to fight for Christian values in America. Although fine Americans such as Billy Graham,Dr. D. James Kennedy Tony Evans, Joel Osteen, Don Wildmon, Dr. D. James Kennedy, Tony Perkins, Phyllis Schlafly, T.D. Jakes, James Dobson, Franklin Graham, John Hagee, Pat Robertson, Ron Parsaly, Ron Phillips and others have fought the fight as well for the pro-family movement. We all have scars to prove it. But it is time to build an...

Israel's air attack on Qana on July 30 resulted in the death of 37 children. Hezbelloh has been accused on using civilians, including children, as human shields. The Israeli government claims that the death of innocent children was a "tragic mistake." Regardless of the underlying facts, 37 precious children are dead. Victims of non-ending war in the Middle East. Media images of those dead and mutilated children are haunting reminders of the horror of war and the carnage visited upon the most innocent and vulnerable among us. Seeing dead and suffering children also brings to mind the stern warning issued...

We wrecked our 2001 Dodge caravan 3-7-06 going only about 35mph, frontal crash, my daughters (12yrs. old) rear shoulder strap didn't catch and her face slammed the handle on back of the drivers seat, she suffered a concussion with blood from eye, nose and mouth. NHTSA or IIHS has never done a FRONTAL crash test with rear occupants and (ALL) Daimlerchryster Dodge caravan and durango rear shoulder straps do not catch when you jerk them and caravan didn't catch in our crash. Test for yourself, jerk the front then jerk the rear shoulder restraints, obviously something is wrong and children...

Bush "Recession" Has Lower Unemployment Rate, Higher Stock Prices than Clinton's "Economic Boom" The stock market closed Friday, December 29, 2001 up 5.68%, at 10136.99. The last week of December 1995, in the midst of the so-called Clinton economic boom, the stock market closed at 5098. The unemployment rate, which was 4.9% when the World Trade Center was destroyed September 11th, had risen by the end of October 2001, to 5.0%, rising .3% from the time George W. Bush was sworn into office in January 2001. During the economic boom we heard so much about from the media during the...
  • Conservative/Republican Freethinkers ZOT

Hi, I am the Founder of the Reed College Freethinkers, a college atheist, agnostic, humanist, liberal Christian, and Separation of Church and State group, based in Portland, Oregon. We noticed that the majority of freethinkers are liberals, or at least those who seem to speak out tend to be left-of-center. While I consider myself to be a moderate, I was wondering if anyone knows of any prominent (or fairly prominent) conservatives/Republicans who also espouse some brand of freethought? If so, could you please list the person and contact information, if possible. Or feel free to contact me directly at reed.freethinkers@gmail.com.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Bush has condemned an experiment in racial tolerance devised by a sociology professor at Maclean College in Richmond, Indiana. The experiment, an "Intercultural Exploration of Racial Sensitivity by Means of Role Reversal," is more popularly known on the Maclean campus as "Stick It to Whitey Days." It will begin on September 12 and extend through Columbus Day.

Tone what down, Mr. Bush? Who are you talking to? To conservatives? I think he is. And I think Laura Ingraham, thinks he is, too. And, proud of God Knows What, he slighted the conservatives who are suppose to sit around and watch their hair turn white as year after year after year after year betrayal, and now having given so much to put the Republicans and the Bush family BACK in power, who believed the oath Bush gave to church leaders, to conservative leaders, in back door meetings, when lots of money exchanged hands, and money from common people...

Ten years ago, with eager support from the Clinton administration, Congress enacted the so-called Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) act. That measure created a federally enforced no-protest zone around abortion clinics. Under FACE, protesters who obstruct access to abortuaries can be prosecuted for federal offenses. The same is not true of radical environmentalists, union activists, or other political protesters who commit acts of violence, vandalism, or obstruction targeting businesses other than the abortion industry. FACE is akin to a Bill of Attainder, an unconstitutional measure singling out one specific group of people for special punishment. U.S. District Judge...

I'm exercising my right to free speech. I hope movie theater owners won't validate Moore's so-called "film" by showing it in their theaters. Michael Moore should be deported to a terrorist country (or at least to FRANCE - the country of our good buddies-NOT!!!) It's so easy for him to spew his particular brand of the truth while living his cushy Hollywood lifestyle!

Okay, I've been lurking here for 2 years and finally read something today that made we want to write. First of all, I'm a life long Republican of the Conservative branch. And Bush blew it on the WOT. Sept. 12th he should of declared war on Iran and Pakistan, forget about Iraq. Iran and Pakistan are the ones that came to our country and MURDERED 3,000 of us. Not Iraq, Not North Korea, Not Syria. WE ARE FIGHTING THIS WAR BECAUSE 3,000 AMERICANS WERE SLAUGHTERED ON AMERICAN SOIL. Has everyone forgotten that??? If Bush had went full force into Iran...
