Another Fake Reuters Photo from Lebanon

Another photo by Reuters photographer Adnan Hajj has been shown to be doctored. The photo, which proports to be of an Israeli F-16 firing missiles on Lebanon has been doctored to make the photo seem more sensational. Here is the original Reuters photo along with its caption.

I think they are countermeasures as well... but if you look closer, the smoke trails have some elements which are exact copies.

Unbelievable! This is sickening. From here on out, EVERYTHING Reuters or AP puts out is suspect. I don't for one minute believe that editors at these newswires couldn't have caught these fake photos if they'd been inclined toward journalism and integrity.

A couple years back I bought a used car from a (known to me to be an alcoholic) used-car salesman I considered then far more trustworthy than the MSM.

I'm even happier with the car post-purchase.

The self-professed 'M'SM, on the other hand, is a violation of "Truth in Advertising" -- but I'll give them this much: They clearly have no concept of what "truth" is. (Hint, you idiots: It ain't your "reality of the hour".)

Dear Al-Reuters,

Why do you employ people who threaten the lives of conservative bloggers and only "suspend" them when they get caught by the outside world? Why should anyone trust your reporting when you are obviously IN-BEDded with Hezbollah? Why do I believe you will try to get away with stepping-up your propaganda machine yet another notch? Why? This photographer is obviously a fraud but this photo isn't the best one to use to solidify the case. The F-16 in the picture is dropping flares, but each flare is designed to a very exact standard and expelled with a very specific charge to perform a precise role in defeating infra-red guided missiles. Therefore, it is not beyond the realm of possibilities that each smoke trail would be almost identical to the one preceding it. Also, the timing at which these flares have been dispensed is not atypical of a pattern used to defeat shoulder launched SAM's.

As far as the "missiles" are concerned, there obviously are no missiles being employed in this picture. Assuming the aircraft actually did drop something when the the picture was taken, it was most likely canisters of leaflets. The aircraft is in a dive, and the precision guided munitions being used by the Israeli Air Force are generally dropped from medium altitude in level flight. Fighter aircraft use a diving delivery primarily to put non-precision weapons on target, or to employ the canisters used to distribute leaflets.

Regardless, this idiot photographer has faked far more obvious pictures than this, and should be bludgeoned with his obvious forgeries before people start gnat's assing the less obvious ones. My opinion only of course.
