Theres a word you wont find in the text of Democratic Rep. John Conyerss new investigative report on the Bush administration, The Constitution in Crisis: The Downing Street Minutes and Deception, Manipulation, Torture, Retribution, and Coverups in the Iraq War, and Illegal Domestic Surveillance. And the word is
impeachment. Yet the 350-page Constitution in Crisis, released last week, is, more than anything else, a detailed road map for the impeachment of George W. Bush, ready for use should Democrats win control of the House of Representatives this November. And Conyers, who would become chairman of the House Judiciary Committee the panel that would initiate any impeachment proceedings is the man who could make it happen. While its absent in the body of the report, the I-word does appear a few times in Conyerss 1,401 footnotes, which include citations of authorities ranging from the left-wing conspiracy website rawstory.com to the left-wing antiwar sites democracyrising.us and afterdowningstreet.org to the left-wing British newspaper the Guardian to the left-wing magazines The Nation and Mother Jones to the left-wing blogosphere favorite Murray Waas to the New York Times columnists Paul Krugman, Maureen Dowd, Bob Herbert, and Frank Rich to former Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal to the New Yorkers Seymour Hersh. (Sources for The Constitution in Crisis even include one story co-written by the disgraced Internet writer Jason Leopold.) Relying on such material, Conyers has created what might be called the definitive left-wing bloggers history of the Bush administration. I would like to thank the blogosphere for its myriad and invaluable contributions to me and my staff, Conyers writes in the reports introduction. Absent the assistance of blogs and other Internet-based media, it would have been impossible to assemble all of the information, sources and other materials necessary to the preparation of this report.

Translation: the Dems have outsourced their bullsh** production.
Unlike with Nixon, this may be a good time to stand and fight.

That's a knife that cuts both ways, within 24 hours of the Dan Rather / Mary Mapes air national gaurd memos, they were discredited.
(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
Unlike with Nixon, this may be a good time to stand and fight.

Got your back.
Impeach on what grounds? Payingback for payback's sake seems not worth the energy and trouble.
The President has done nothing illegal, or untoward...except, in the eyes of the moonbats, have the audacity to get himself elected as a conservative President.
What is our recourse, and how do we fight?
If RATS take control of both houses in 06 and start the impeachment process, it will backfire, bigtime. It will make them look more like the party of defeat and despair. Bush can use the found WMD in Iraq and keep beating that drum calling for aggressively going after terrorists. All this going on while Israel continues to fight Hezbollah and Iran gets closer to nuclear statehood.
The Dim's are playing with major fire if they go there.
The Democrats WILL impeach Bush if they win in November. For them, its payback for Clinton.

Absolute DRat agenda, though denied publically.
They want W so bad they can taste it.
It would be a short 2 years with the Rats in power if they tried and even if they manage to get it through The House they couldn't get the 66 votes from the Senate needed to remove President Bush from office.
The parallel with the early '70s is scary. A Democratic Congress impeached President Nixon and cut off funding Vietnam. The bloodshed that resulted will be repeated ten-fold in the Middle East when a Democratic Congress cuts and runs from Iraq.
What is our recourse, and how do we fight?

Watch for the moonbat and media breaking stories.
In 2000 just before the general election, it was the DWI from the early 70's.
In 2004 it the Dan & Mary ANG memos.
The DRats are desperate, desperate times will make them try desperate measures.
1) Get involved with your local Republican Party. Help prevent a Democrat takeover of the House and Senate.
2) Stay involved, teach voters the benefits of conservative principles.
3) Find and support conservative candidates to run in the primaries against sitting RINOs.
4) Stay involved here at FR and write letters and editorials to your local papers about conservative policies. Make a name for yourself!
If the Democrats win the House and impeach, their prize will be Cheney. What's even more scary is Pelosi would be third in the line of succession.
If Cheney became president they would have to impeach and convict him too, as unlikely as any of these scenarios are. Nancy Pelosi would be second in line, until a new VP was appointed. If Cheney appointed his own VP you can be sure the Dems would block this nomination, with a filibuster if necessary, to keep Pelosi as next in line to the presidency. They are scary people.
You're reading my thoughts.
Uh, that's right. He decided it was necessary to go to war, then asked Congress. The rats think this is a crime?
Would the military stand by and permit this to happen?
