Four of the detainees are members of the Salaheddin Islamic Centre in Toronto's Scarborough area. The mosque's imam, Aly Hindy, is notorious for his inflammatory speeches and radical interpretation of Islam. In the past, he has urged members of his congregation to avoid all cooperation with the CSIS and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), going so far as to make unsubstantiated claims that the CSIS assaulted a Muslim woman while investigating her husband. He has appeared at the bail hearings of the accused (whom he describes as innocent) and is involved in raising funds for their legal costs. With media attention squarely focused on the mosque, Hindy now urges his followers to avoid the type of activities he claims led to the arrest of the 17—playing paintball, taking flying lessons and visiting jihad-related websites (National Post, June 10). Suspect Abdul Shakur converted to Islam under Hindy's supervision.

Just like the kosher meal option, many, if not most all by now, international carriers have been offering the halal option for years.
I've tried them all. Some of the kosher meals are good, some of the halal meals are good, some of the 'regular' meals are good. And vice/versa.
The McDonald's in Saudi Arabia has completely separate areas for men and women.
What Muslims don't understand is that when they immigrate to another country, THEY have to change THEIR ways to match the culture of the country. They shouldn't expect the country to change for them.
Why don't these whiners just go home to their respective Jihadistans? Oh never mind... as soon as they perceive themselves as the majority...
