I've heard it on the radio too. Stations touting the weather play old recordings of imminent tornadoe warnings, etc.

"You can't tell any more the difference between what's propaganda and what's news," Adelstein said.Well, stop watching the CBS Evening News then, dude.

A lot of the "reporting" by the MSM is this sort of propaganda. Look at the "Studies" they report on Medical, Environmental or Labor issues. Invariably the "Source" of the "Study" is invariable a political pressure group's propaganda given a phony "Scientific" label and reported as "news".

Network newscasts have been such tools for any corporation or activist group for decades. They depend on this carp. Remember the Tickle-Me-Elmo craze? Or any craze for that matter.
They're just a bunch of lazy, overpaid monkeys.

Maybe they should label this stuff "faker news" to differentiate it from the usual day-today fake news.

I don't watch tv news, so I'm ignorant of this. Are there any links to samples of this?

This is "fake news". I'm still waiting for the FCC to rebuke those networks that broacast FRAUDULENT news.
Media Schadenfreude and Media Shenanigans PING
The Federal Communications Commission has mailed letters to the owners of 77 television stations inquiring about their use of video news releases, a type of programming critics refer to as "fake news."
Video news releases are packaged news stories that usually employ actors to portray reporters who are paid by commercial or government groups.
