Mr. Schiavo remains furious at lawmakers in Tallahassee and Washington who intervened. Hence the creation last winter of TerriPAC, a federal political action committee aimed against politicians who tried to stop Ms. Schiavos death.
Mr. Schiavo flew to Connecticut last month to help Ned Lamont, who defeated Senator Joseph I. Lieberman in the Democratic primary.
Representative Jim Davis, a Tampa Democrat running to replace Gov. Jeb Bush, a Republican, widely distributed a letter that Mr. Schiavo wrote after endorsing him in June. Mr. Davis was among the most vigorous opponents of intervention in the Schiavo case.
Mr. Schiavos PAC has made no direct solicitations, but it has raised more than $26,000 in eight months, mostly in contributions of $100 or less made through its Web site, www.terripac.com.
Its Web site also provides information about living wills, which Ms. Schiavo did not have when her heart briefly stopped one night in 1990, causing her brain damage.
Mr. Schiavo believes his wifes cardiac arrest was due to a vitamin deficiency brought on by bulimia, though her autopsy could not prove that. His former in-laws, Robert and Mary Schindler, have accused him of strangling her.
Mr. Schiavo said he would also make overtures to State Senator James E. King Jr., a Jacksonville Republican whose primary opponent, Randall Terry, led protests outside Ms. Schiavos hospice in the weeks before her death and rallied the anti-abortion movement against it.
Mr. Schiavo, who switched his voter registration to Democrat from Republican last year, said people had asked him repeatedly to run for office after his wifes death.
But while the prospect holds allure, he said he was content with a lower-key role for now. He married Jodi Centonze, whom he met and started dating three years after Ms. Schiavos collapse, in January.

Not only does he kill his wife, now he wants to punish those who sought to protect her life.
Truly the world has turned upside down.
There has to be some money moving through this system or he wouldn't be doing it.
Why does every leftist advocate get taken at their word that they are "furious" "outraged" etc? I suspect this arogant jerk loves publicity and is getting paid by his PAC. But no we are told as a fact that this is all the result of honest emotion.
Maybe God put Michael R. Schiavo on earth just to make Bill Clinton look more appealing!
He just wants to use his dead wife to make a living.
He misses the attention.
I can't come up with enough expletives to describe what this guy is. Un-friggin-believable.
No argument here. Terri, may she Rest in Peace, is still Michael's cash cow.
Like the homosexuals trying to salve their guilty consciences by trying to have laws redefining marriage passed, this Schiavo guy isn't going to rest until Congress passes a law to affirm his macbre actions.
What DID happen to her? She was a healthy young woman in 1990, probably asleep that fateful Saturday night. Her husband came home late. Shortly afterward, Terri was found on the floor, face down, in cardiac arrest and barely alive. Her blood tests showed lactic acidosis, a condition caused by violent exertion in the absence of oxygen -- as if she had been fighting to breathe and could not. Lack of oxygen caused the brain damage.
Michael has told several different stories about what happened. They can't all be true. They COULD all be lies. Why wouldn't he tell the truth?
He should run fot political office in Pinellas County. He would fit right in and make a great addition.
I'm actually a little suprised that his 2nd wife hasn't ended up 'dead' by now!
The POS's book tanked. For a guy like Michael Schiavo, it's always all about the money. It's very expensive to maintain a feeding tube on a patient. This is one more piece of slime attaching itself to the Democratic party - what a surprise.
Good for him.

Heavens, no. The cost was reportedly $8 a day. Beyond that, Terri was in a hospice, not a medical facility, so care costs were minimal as well. (The lawyers had evidently embezzled everything in her "trust" fund by then.)
Nevertheless, you are right on target in saying that with Michael, it's always about the money. Money and hatred. Her estate may yet be worth millions in movie, TV and book rights. He had to kill her to get her estate. You may remember the bizarre scene of Michael and his lawyer, Deborah Bushnell, rushing to court hours after Terri died, to file for her estate. He didn't even wait until her body got cold.
It's like P.T. Barnum said .... A new sucker is born every day.
The party of death knows who it's true supporters are.
