Reserves Demo Calling For Gov't To Resign Tonight (Israelis Demand Gov't Resignation Alert)

(IsraelNN.com) A group of reserve soldiers, who were recently discharged and are setting up a forum, have called upon Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Amir Peretz, and Foreign Minister Tsipi Livni to resign. Tonight the soldiers will be holding a demonstration at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv at 7p.m. The demonstration is expected to be the first of several, under the banner, “You failed – resign!”

In a petition publicized by the forum, the public is asked to sign the following: “We are very worried about the fate of the country. From all ends of the political spectrum, we are calling upon the government, headed by the prime minister, to take personal responsibility for its failure and resign. We believe that we have the power as individuals rallying together, to declare, ‘Never again!’”

Are you saying that Bibi is bad for Israel?

You cannot win limited wars against people with no limits.

That's a good tagline for someone... I'm going to keep mine, though...

Encouraging to see that Israel still has a warrior class...

It appears their male population has higher testosterone levels than ours.

Why would you consider Bibi sad for Israel?

"Is Benjamin Netanyahu a hardliner?"

He's as conservative, tough and hardline as they get. He long called for the death/imprisonment of Arafat when others were giving him a Nobel Peace Prize.

I love strong decisive men. I would vote for him in a heartbeat, but alas, I'm not eligible. I can instead pray for Israel to take a stand for their future and pray that the US does the same.

That note is also valid for the US
Al the Freepers whining because the Republicans do not pay attention to they're favorite issue should remember this
In time of war there is only one issue WIN THE WAR
Donks appeaser should never again be allowed to be in power

"Is Benjamin Netanyahu a hardliner?"

Yes Yes Yes, and we can only pray that this is the direction Israel is moving toward. This cease fire is only postponing a much greater loss of life. Savage put it simply last night: At some point Israel - or the US - will have to take out Iran's nuclear facility. It really is that simple

Are we waiting for the August 22 Iran reply to the UN regarding their nuke capabilities? Why wait, let's take them out now and spare the suspense.

Israel, like the state of New York,

FWIW, the state of NY is made up of red counties mostly. If Upstate had its own state, Downstate could have all the 'Rats and RINOs with our blessing.

I wish... our own returning soldiers would be more politically active,

Unfortunately, they are. They're called democrats.

Conservatives are by nature not activists....including FR if you think about it. FR is a place to go hide and agree with each other anonymously. Freepers can be found recently at counter-protests, but nothing like what leftists do running around door-to-door telling people that John Kerry served in Vietnam.

As Rush says, " Did you know that John Kerry served in Vietnam?" Quick! Name a conservative veteran with that same name recognition and association with veteranness!

Actually, the toon got less than half both times. Gore is the one who got over 50% of the popular vote, but not of the electoral vote (THANK GOODNESS!!!!)

Sorry. I keep forgetting that. Should have said that the city of New York, like Israel, has voted in socialists that will get a few million killed before voters see the error of their ways.
