1pm est- The Right Hour Description: Republican Representative Tom Tancredo of Colorado, now in his fourth term, has long been a strong voice in opposition to illegal immigration. He also has ideas for reforming the entire immigration system that are controversial and distinctly conservative. Tancredo is probably the best-known voice in the House on this key issue.
2pm est-Leading the Majority Description: This week Rick and Vince interview Christopher Levenick, the W. H. Brady doctoral fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, about the latest legal efforts by Dr. Michael Newdow to have the federal courts declare that the words under God in the Pledge of Allegiance are unconstitutional. Dr. Newdows original legal attempt to strike down under God from the Pledge failed in 2004, but he is back again with a case that has succeeded at the federal district court level and is now on appeal before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In the GOPAC Leadership in the Spotlight segment, Leading the Majority welcomes Louisiana State Senator Jay Dardenne, who is currently a candidate in a special election for Louisiana Secretary of State. Rick and Vince will discuss with Senator Dardenne the situation in Louisiana one year after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita as well as other leading concerns of the voters in Louisiana. Host: [Rick Tyler] [Vince Haley]
3pm est -Steel on Steel Description: Time for John to go play so we're taking the weekend off. That means the program is pre-recorded. Since Mexico is destined to play a large role in the futures of the U.S. and Canada, it's important Americans and Canadians know more about that country. The entire show today is devoted to the colorful and intriguing history of Mexico. Dr. Burton Kirkwood. Ph.D. has written a wonderful short book entitled, "The history of Mexico," and he is our sole guest for this romp through an historic adventure.
Thank You
My two cents...
The conservative side needs more streaming content on the web. The libs outpace us in areas on the Net where the "yoots" of today get their information and entertainment. We need more streaming content on venues like WinAmp TV and videos on YouTube.com.
What's with that title?
Sounds like Tancredo wants to alter the Pledge.
NP
Agreed.
Individual Program content is separated by a "*".
Bumping!
Did we tell you in Jan '07 Rightalk will be a nightly, 3 hour nationally syndicated program?
So who can do this? Who can we nag to get more streaming media on the Net? Why not get Rightalk onto WinAmp TV, YouTube, podcasts and more?
I also suggest that a newer format for talk shows is needed to appeal to "yoots". Laura is good, but more talent like hers is needed.
Rightalk doesn't do video...yet. However, we are working with a production company that produces documentaries for Fox so I'll run the suggestion of doing "shorts" up the flagpole.
Bob
There are plenty of streaming audio venues available as well. WinAmp Radio is one and AOL has a version of the same. There's also ShoutCast.
