Good luck with that. I intend to do the opposite. I'm about ready to put a McCain/Rudy tagline. Not yet, but soon.

John Kerry says Lieberman is out of step with the dems in Conn. I guess we'll see come November.

If Lieberman does win, he has said he will vote with the Dem caucus. So, all this race proves is the inability of the GOP to capitalize on a split Democrat party in CT. It is still a win-win for the Dems. Lieberman is liberal on almost every issue, except the WoT.

He ticked off four without hesitation.

* “I start by vetoing spending bills. There is just too much pork-barrel spending and we must become fiscally responsible.”

Until he is crucified by his beloved media for doing so. Then it would be SSDD.

Or when President Bush urged them to evacuate that Friday night and they didn't until Sunday morning. I clearly remember Nagin saying on that Friday night he wasn't sure he had the authority to announce a madatory evacuation! Living in Southern Alabama had me closely watching the storm and all the talk back and forth about her.

But, as Kenye said, "Bush doesn't care about black people." And then the driveby media went on a tear to prove Kenye was right. Today the driveby media makes sure you don't remember the facts, rather just the spin (that they created).

through the IE6 version it maxes out only 2 steps above "normal." In Firefox (and the next version of IE, which is in beta) you are virtually unlimited.

That's a MAJOR factor in the Sunday talkshows, and the networks should reveal if THEY invited the guests, or if they received the availability for the shows from the folks directly. I'd sure like to know if Rand Beers sent in his CV, and said he was available or if the network requested his presence due to current relevance .. and the same with all of them.

When a new face appears now, especially of the ilk of Beers, it's obvious that the DNC is going to be flooding the shows pre-election, illustrating an agenda from the show that's being concealed from us. Who knows, there could be a bidding war going on behind the scenes that we have no clue of, jockeying for face time to serve agendas? Every minute of every talkshow and TV appearance hence forward leading up to the elections is critical

I expect we'll now be seeing some ex-CIA rogues, decrying W's war/terrorism strategy, and platoons of preening ex-generals, doing the same. I want to know who approached who for the appearance.

There are no accidents, few innocents and we'll be seeing a symphony of planted, coached, and prissy anti-Bushites, candidates, candidate handlers and operatives. I bet probably the most obscure and the one with the most depth on the bench and the hardest to connect are the affiliates of: THE EVIL SHE.

If Lieberman does win, he has said he will vote with the Dem caucus.

Lets see what he says if the Dems carry out the threat to strip him of his seniority. Also, the Republican candidate had less that a snowball's chance to win, meaning a Dem was gonna be elected regardless.

I'm just sitting back, munching popcorn, and watching the Democratic Party explain why they kicked their last pro defense member out, and Lieberman confirming all our claims that Dems have lost their minds.

Infact, Lieberman is a better spokesman for strong defense than any Repub I'm aware of...part of that is because the media is having so much fun covering him.

I totally agree. I only wished to point out that Kerry doesn't know what he is talking about, as usual.

A loose cannon can be a good thing, if it's firing.

No......

a loose cannon that's firing is actually more likely to do damage to the ship or fort it's firing from than it is to do damage to the enemy.  That's precisely what the phrase means.  Think it through from the perspective of single shot cannon in the era of sailing ships, which is where the phrase comes from.

Unless your intent is simply destruction all around.

as I posted to snugs, IE, through version 6, is limited to 2 or 3 larger and 2 or 3 smaller than "normal." FireFox just keeps going and going...

With my eyesight the max size in IE just isn't large enough.

A.Hun wrote an open letter to the President below are some responses I have made to it.

Quite a letter A. Hun!

By the way I would not like GW's job for all the tee in China.

In your request for GW to come out and really stick it to the media I think the best we will get is Tony Snow.I think it's all too obvious he too is sick of the lies and distortions of the DBM and to counter it he has made Tony his press spokesperson. I know the PC talk that often comes from the Whitehouse is not what we want to hear but let's hope Tony makes a huge difference.

I too would like to see all the info about WMD's which really do exist, to be released. However whether to do it now or sometime in 08 could easily be a political strategy that is way over my pay grade. And when it come to political strategy it's hard to beat GW.

On foreign policy I would normally agree that listening to the State dept. can be a waste of time but since Condi now head it up I think we are as in as good a hands as possible. I trust her explicitly. I think GW does as well. Next to GW Condi is also a brilliant strategist. Yo have to remember that they both are tasked with making the best calls they can in a world that is so screwed up it's almost a jig saw puzzle.

In some cases no matter what call Condi makes she will be pilloried. If she supports Israel in flogging the hezzies she gets flack from many, if she doesn't she gets flack from many more.

As MNJ so often says, GW is president of all the people as is Condi, Sec. of State of the entire nation and doing the will of GW.

Chances are good the hezzies will screw up again and when they do there is a good chance Olmert will have learned his PC lesson and will turn the IDF loose and clear out Lebanon.

As far a putting more troops into Iraq I think the game plan there is to create as many Iraqi soldiers as possible to replace our troops asap. Besides GW relies on Abizaid to advise him on troop strength. He will probably listen to his generals in the field instead of the many armchair Monday morn qb.s that are out there now. Remember fighting an asymmetrical war is no easy task.

As far as what to do with Iran it's over my pay grade again. Rather than destroy their oil refining capabilities I would like to see us go whole hog in producing every type of energy as fast as we can regardless of where it is located.

On the border issue we need to enforce laws on the books and build a fence/wall. I hope it happens, but if it doesn't, it's beginning to happen(immigration/border control) locally in cities and towns around the country. We may have to settle for that. I want more, but I don't know if I will get it.

eye troubles

Check out DeskBot at www.deskbot.com

It is a free program that uses the MS Agent text2speech to read the clipboard and certain other program pages to the listener. [I also use a tabbed browser that has incorporated that feature into it. Check www.fastbrowser.net]

I use it frequently on lengthy news articles with excessively small print.

Several voices are available, and it does a fairly decent vocal rendering. FYI
