Ironically enough it's called "Freedom Corner"
from the civil rights days but today it is only
free from safety.

Gas is $2.59\gallon in Jackson Ms on the corner of Medgar Evers Blvd and MLK drive. But no one is brave enough to stop and buy any. Everything we need to know about that neighborhood...

Malden ROCKS!
My grandfather's old drug store was right across from Moody's gas.
What is the name of the little restaurant on Highland Ave? Papas or Big Papas?
Loved that place.

$3.28 is about the cheapest it can be had at an Arco in
San Luis Obispo, CA. (about half-way between L.A. & S.F. on U.S. 101).
Morro Bay, 12 or so miles "North" of SLO, on HWY 1, here of late has been 2 cents less at an Arco, and a Valero station.
Don't even think of buying it on the Big Sur Coast, like at Gorda, Lucia, or in Big Sur proper...not if you can help it, anyway. If headed up the Coast road, by all means fill up in Morro Bay. 125 miles or so to Carmel, which I'd bet is higher by a nickel or so, than Morro.

By the way, do you know Kevin Scott from Wakefield? He is running against Kennedy for the Senate.
Another lamb to the slaughter.

I wonder how much it is in Gorda, CA at that lone gas station on Route 1... in April '06 it was $4.59.
