Will ABC Cave on "The Path to 9/11" (Clinton pressuring ABC)

I’m hearing all kinds of disturbing, though predictable, stories about a Clintonista offensive against “The Path to 9/11,” an ABC documentary written and produced by Cyrus Nowrasteh ("Into the West"), and directed by David Cunningham ("To End All Wars").  I haven’t seen it yet (although I hope to this weekend), but it is already drawing rave reviews from people who have (the piece is reviewed at FrontPage, here).

  

Apparently, the documentary recounts the bureaucratic bungling and lack of action against al Qaeda that was pervasive prior to the September 11 atrocities.  It is by no means, I understand, pro-Bush.  It is, instead, an effort to present history accurately.  This evidently has many former Clinton officials and apologists in their default kill-the-messenger mode.  Great pressure is being brought to bear on ABC and Disney to reopen the editorial process at this late stage (the documentary is supposed to air on September 10-11) so that the years 1993-2001 may remain forever airbrushed.

  

Will they succeed?  This bears watching.

Face it, most folks don't follow politics the way we do. Millions of moderates will watch this show, folks who have NO idea of such things as who Jamie Goerlick was or how many times the Clintonistas could have nailed bin Laden but didn't. THEY will see the light, finally, and that is what has Sandy Berge stuffing documents in his pants and Maddie Albright sweating bullets.

Let me start by saying that "The Path to 9/11" is one of the best, most intelligent, most pro-American miniseries I've ever seen on TV, and conservatives should support it and promote it as vigorously as possible.

Don't bet on it. The affiliates are the net's soft underbelly. And since excrement flows down hill, they'll be on the receiving end of any bad publicity. The affiliates, and their advertisers, know this. Trust me :) Call anyway.

Let me make a prediction of what will happen, ABC Corp will cave and announce that they will let local affiliates decide for themselves whether they show the film giving them a nudge not to.

I hope not. There are a lot of things about 9/11 that the public really needs to think about and if this film will cover some of those things...I hope it gets aired.

The preview which has the sound bite "We had him" apparently referring to Osama Bin Laden has me interested enough to watch.

I can't see how that won't put Bubba in a bad light but I wouldn't be surprised if Hollywood finds a way.

Rush mentioned that Clinton and his cronies (DU and Kos included) is making a huge push for this to be edited.
