Murtha must go he's a trader,...

Hmmm, a trader and a politician? Seems to me it is time for him to concentrate on just one career.

So, the lesson for the morning is that john murtha is a traitorous trader. By supporting code pink he sold his soul to the devil.

I can understand why Murtha might pull his ads from Quinn's program, but to pull them from a whole group of stations most of whom aren't political talk?

Shows what the democrats are about, trying to punish their political adverseries for dissent. Murtha's move demonstrates what kind of stalinists are on the other side of the aisle, and how they wish to stifle any opposition.

He's not pulling the ads, he's just redeploying them to over the horizon or Okinawa.

I met Murtha once, while my wife and I were stringer for Pittsburgh,Johnstown and Altoona TV Stations,I thought he was an ok guy. I don't don't know which hand I shook hands with him so I scrub em both!!!!!I live in Indiana County but teh PA republican's redistricted the 12th and I am in a strip of land in the middled of the county that is now with the 9th,so I am in Shusterland. I will be contacting family and friends who are in the 12th and get them to vote for Irey/ I would call Murtha a Benedict Arnold, but that is insulting Arnold!!!

Air time for political ads must be sold at the lowest rate the station charges. This means a drive time ad for Murtha costs the same as an ad at 3am. (Politicians always make laws that are advantageous for themselves.) Ergo, I don't think the station will mind if they are able to sell ad time at a premium to someone else.

Fascinating. All the years I've followed this stuff, and I'd never heard that before.

This is my very first post, I've been a long time viewer, but I've never posted. Murtha must go he's a trader, this is outstanding news.

He is also a TRAITOR, but we know from abscam that he is a trader. He will trade his influence for cash. Sometimes spell-checker isn't enough, you need to read before you hit the post button.

Good point. The only time we liked political ads back when I was in radio was when we couldn't sell anything else, not even time to the preachers.

I have listned to Quinn since he was on AM back in the 70s.
I listened to Quinn when he found God after a Sexual Harassment suit went against him and another DJ for a remark they made on a female newcaster.
Quinn can be grating and arrogant. He also was a member of the black Helicopter crowd back in the 90s. But he has had some really good scoops.
I wish that Jim and Rose would keep to the news instead of the bantering they engage in that makes them sound like a Old Married couple.

I would call Murtha a Benedict Arnold, but that is insulting Arnold!!!

Darn right. At least Arnold was originally a true patriot, played a pivotal role in the battles of Saratoga, and, according to some reports, expressed regret on his deathbed for what he had done.

Arnold was in the West Indies when the Boston Massacre occurred on March 15, 1770, but later wrote he was "very much shocked" and wondered "good God; are the Americans all asleep and tamely giving up their liberties, or are they all turned philosophers, that they don't take immediate vengeance on such miscreants".

Food for thought in today's times, as well. - Worth remembering, but schools today really don't teach such things, do they?

No, I'm thinking of Murtha..... here's the thread

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1684266/posts

"As of today, Democratic Rep. John Murtha's supposed 41-candidate tour seems to be more myth than reality. Murtha communications director Megan Grote says of the previously reported number of 41 candidates or districts, "We don't know where that number came from." Per Grote, Murtha is planning to campaign for Democratic candidates, but the office doesn't yet know for whom or when. It could be around 40, she says, or it could be less. She notes that "plans have been changing," that "nothing is set in stone," and that it's all being done "last minute." Either way, Murtha won't be campaigning anytime soon -- Grote says he has nothing planned for the next two weeks. The Democratic House campaign committee says they have no knowledge of Murtha's campaign/travel schedule."

Great News!

Murtha's private focus groups with moderate voters must have him and his advisors in a state of near panic!

The conservative voters and many vets in his district have become broken glass voters. They will crawl over broken glass under live ammo fire to vote for Irey this November.

Later this month, we will probably see Rat congressits moving away from Murtha and his acts of sedition as their polls show his behavior is suicidal this year.
