Thanks for all the hard work last week MNJ much appreciated.
Always a great honor to be anywhere in the top ten with this group of fine Freepers.

>>.....they're hiding it because they were... complicit.<<
-I would like to see Tony Snow pushing this fact in their faces, but the WH again seems passive and lost in defending its own. I thought Tony would help with matters like this, but the entire GOP-- not to mention a lot of Freepers-- seem to brush Plame/Wilson/MSM attempted coup aside as old news, rather than screaming from tall buildings that this three year fiasco was the most atrocious media witch hunt in history. Matthews, Russert and the rest should be held accountable and mocked relentlessly until they do so.

He wasn't alone there. I'd read that the leftwing groundswell against Bolton was predicated on Bolton's earlier warnings (unheeded the reality of sending forces to Iraq loomed) against Iran (also conveniently offered the same nuclear package as North Korea by 42).

What a surprise /sarcasm off.

Yes amidst all the furor somehow Scooter has got forgotten but not by us Freepers. His loyalty has cost him his reputation and what for - nothing.

I was interviewed last week by the local yokel paper. Y'all might be interested because I think I did a darn good job going round and round with the interviewer.

Note that bit about how I "affectionately" refer to the Old Media as the "Lamestream" media. Heh. There's no affection involved.

Also has a picture of me should anyone care.

Anyway, good morning AB, all. Labor day weekend is soooo boring for political junkees, eh?

Same goes for Fox. We all prayed for Fox's Centanni. But after his release, that 's the end of respect for him.

Isn't it strange that Centanni, who said he "converted" only because he had a gun to his head, felt the need to be apologetically politically correct by expressing the "highest respect for Islam"?

Here 's Cliff May.

Centanni and Wiig continue to emphasize that their experience should not discourage news organizations from covering Gaza, from "telling the story of the Palestinian people...Come and tell the story. It's a wonderful story," Centanni said. Is the mission of Fox's London bureau to tell the "wonderful story" of the British people?

Do reporters cover the White House in order to tell the "wonderful story" of George W. Bush? This is patronizing and it's pandering. Journalism and public relations are both respectable professions. But there is a difference between them. When dealing with violent groups in the Middle East do journalists somehow seem to forget this.

Morning AB and thanks again for the thread each and every week, much appreciated!

You just accurately described yet another DNC crash vehicle careening into yet another brick wall at 175 mph as they valiantly try and lie their way into yet another election. Some traitors never learn.

Good tagline. Thinking about what Powell has done here makes me more and more angry...and worried for my country. I think he allowed this to go on when he could have put a stop to it specifically in order to damage the President and his Administration...in a time of war, no less. That is stabbing the country in the back. And this guy was chairman of the Joint Chiefs. Think about that. He would allow his country to be damaged for his own political purposes and he was the military head of our armed forces. Now he is one of McCain's elite advisors in his presidential campaign along with Armitage.

What did McCain know and when did he know it????

Russert will do his part to stop Santorum's surge. My feelings when I saw he was on the show one of these times when you wonder is it a good idea to appear.

Joe Gibbs is the [rerun] power player of the week, nothing to do with politics.

Santorum basically told Chris Mattthews to drop dead when he offered to moderate a debate between him and Casey.

I saw that it was hysterical....Santorum said his opponent would jump at the chance to come on a show that would be so friendly to him(his opponent). Matthews got really frustrated and claimed he was not biased, yada yada yada. Santorum enjoyed it. Wish they would call the media on their biased opinions more often.

Absolutely. In Powell's case I feel it is sour grapes over Iraq but I feel sad as he has served his country over many years and I wish he had dealt with his differences in private and probably resigned during the first Bush administration rather than what has transpired since.

A man who was once respected by a broad church now is looked upon by many a traitor (MSM will still of course try to paint him a hero for dissension - dissension is OK but in the correct way).
