Bible Scholars Perform Calculations Which Point To The UN Being Hit By A Nuclear Attack This Month
Yahoo News ^

Posted on 09/04/2006 8:33:37 PM PDT by Scarchin

Bible scholars claim to have fixed the bug in their decoding that caused their earlier mistaken predictions. As a result they have so many different scriptural calculations leading to the same month for the UN bomb, that "coincidence is no longer an option" for their research team.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it's stunning that the MSM would go so far as to put forth kooks like this and describe them as "Bible scholars." Sheesh.

Is it too early to start blaming FEMA for not responding in time?

I just double checked the work of these "Biblical scholars" with my new decoding system.

But I got the message "Drink Ovaltine".

This is a news release, not a story, as it is posted at PR Web, and it is one of the worst news releases I have ever seen.

Extremely, extremely poorly written. Beyond horrible.

That said, it will be interesting to see if it comes to pass. I doubt it though. I consider the Bible Code numerology.

Why don't they read the Bible and apply its lessons, rather than use it as a magic decoder ring?

I don't like the way some people ignore many plain things in the Bible (evidently that is too boring for them) but they grasp at and are very dogmatic about obscure things (even though these things have to be constantly re-interpreted).

"So even though a nuclear terrorist attack on the UN this month is very unlikely...."

But it claims an attack is coming. Huh?

I don't believe the true test of a prophet applies to this one. I believe these are false teachers, who are incorrectly intrepreting the written word; they're not false prophets.

It seems like a small difference, but I like to be precise when drawing conclusions from the bible. It helps to avoid nonsense like this nuke hitting the eighteenth floor, second window from the right, at ten fifteen AM, when the moon is in the second house, and jupitor aligns with Mars, and ........

"could you please tell me where it says "sea of glass" in the bible?"

Revelation 4:6 (New International Version)

Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.

Good question. They might as well be using a quija board.

It isn't really Yahoo Nwws. It is PR newswire, which anybody can post to....it is a press release service....and Yahoo just picks them up.
