Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani is the "best" candidate in the 2008 race for Israel, a panel of eight Israeli experts assembled by Haaretz has determined.

Giuliani is followed by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Arizona Senator John McCain and New York Senator Hillary Clinton. Ranking bottom of the list is Illinois Senator Barack Obama.

Actually Gore is the biggest surprise. He is cut and runner #1. Hillary has at least pretended to be semi-tough on terrorism, but I am sure she will join the cut and run crowd once the primaries get going.

Support of Israel is one of those things that I consider to be in our best interests but it certainly isn't the only thing.

The best candidate for Israel hands down is Sam Brownback.

Giuliani seems good and may stay good but he also can pull a "Nixon to China" or Sharon "withdrawal type move".

Some candidates are given marks way to high.

One thing to remember, and I am sure it affects the results to a degree, is that Jews tend to be very liberal.

I believe these folks are candidates for President of the United States. I don't appreciate foreign countries meddling in our electoral politics. I'm interested in what candidate is best for the USA, not some foreign country.

Huckabee should be swapped with Hellary. Hagel schmagel deserves his low ranking...(look at his lost puppy dog face). Wish you Nebraskans would dump that fool RINO Hagel for good. Wesley Clark is too high on this list and senator (UN solves all) John sKerry should be below Obama.

I see the WOT, Israel, and our border control as connected issues but the Israelis don't have any reason to concern themselves with our border control issue. In a way I think they should worry about our border as much as they worry about theirs.
