Document ISGQ-2005-00023243 is dated September 19 2002 and it is letter from the Chairman of the Chemistry department in the Iraqi Atomic Energy Organization where he is asking to provide him some Chemical Materials that can be used as Precursors for making Chemical Weapons mainly the Phosphorus Pentasulfide that can be used as a main Precursor to make VX Nerve Gas the deadliest of all Chemical Weapons. Other materials on the list like Phosphorus oxychloride, Thiophosphoryl Chloride and Thionyl Chloride that can also be used to make Chemical Gas weapons. All these materials are called the “dual use” where it can be used for some non military purposes but it can be used as main Precusrors to make Chemical weapons. These materials fall under the LIST A of the UN resolutions where Iraq is allowed to import under very strict rules but not to manufacture it.

The important material here the large quantity of Phosphorus Pentasulfide a main Precursor for VX Nerve Gas. In their March 6 2003 report, the UN Iraq weapons inspectors wrote under the VX Gas section that Iraq should “Present any outstanding quantities of Phosphorus Trichloride and Phorsphorus Pentasulfide, or provide credible evidence that all quantity imported have been consumed, destroyed or spoiled”, http://www.un.org/depts/unmovic/documents/6mar.pdf#search=%22UNMOVIC%20report%20on%20March%206%202003%22 (page 85 on UN pdf document).

The translation below include does not include all the materials on the list but shows only the material that are “dual use” and that can be used as Precursors to make Chemical Weapons.

If that shows up in a significant quantity it is proof of WMDs that cannot be spun away sucessfully. To do so would require spinning WHY the Clinton administration attacked the factory in Sudan on suspicion that EMPTA was produced there.

VX gas was the most deadly WMD Iraq was known to certainly have. Imagine something like that in a NYC subway!

Thanks for the response. I saw Marine_Uncle's response in reply 35 that essentially said the same thing.

If this were for either lubricants or insectisides I would think that would already have been known since those are legal items to manufacture.

Looks like the use of this was not dual.

Agree 100%. There are much less suspicious materials to make insecticides than Phosphorus Pentasulfide. And as Marine Uncle said, it will be much cheaper and less risky for Saddam regime to import lubricants rather than risk all the huge scrutiny of importing (or may be manufacturing) Phosphorus Pentasulfide to make lubricants.

As we understand in this point in time Joseph, Saddam and his goons where up to their eye balls, perhaps eye lids in wmd programs just waiting to become fully active once things eased up.
Now some may indicate, that they where up to their hairline, I will not challenge their suggestion.

Great post. I think your statement cannot be disputed by any American Patriot whose IQ is over 80. Hence President Bush was right in removing this threat called Saddam we simply could not afford to live with this danger after 9/11.

Now you and I know it. How do some five hundred million westerners come to the realization, that the US and all our Coalition allies did not want to just invade a country for the hell of it.
So many are literally stuck on stupid. I hope down the pike this will change. All western nations must band together in continues unity to confront the GWOT. In order to do so effectively the voters in these countries must always be mindfull, the Islamofacist are not resting. They will continue over the years to plot new attacks, with the obviouse aid from some ME and FE countries.
At any rate, it appears we shall continue to see more stuff come out of the Harmony Database. And thanks to people like you, we shall continue to be able to read what Saddam was up to. Thanks yet again for your continued efforts.

"I think I should do a bullet showing the most important finds so far in these documents regarding the WMD issue."

I think so too! The facts that Iraq had enough precursors, accelerants and "dual use materials" to create
"massive weapons of individual destruction" (John Kerry) are hard to comprehend.

I agree and if that was the plan, or part of the plan, they would want all necessary supplies handy, especially the ones that would be hard to get like the chemicals named above.

"...especially the ones that would be hard to get like the chemicals named above."
You most certainly are accurate in that statement. Surely during those weeks after the initial invasion was completed, when the Iraqi where roaming the cities etc., ripping the place to bits, Saddamist must have been hiding things in the frenzy as well. I predict with a high degree of confidence we yet shall find things stored in buried and capped areas in various parts of the country.
It does not take to many 55 gallon drums of the right pre-cursors to create for instance one hell of a lot of nerve gas. And each binary shell may only use a liter or so in each chamber.
I continue to bring up for the past two years, where some of our troops had found syringes, gas masks, and vials of atropine (antidote for nerve gas), laying on concrete bunker floors where artillery ordnance was stored.
They had the stuff and they planned on using it, but then in the last minute decided not to, so that GWB would not be vindicated early on.
