>>>Need I remind everybody that this is a woman who said with a straight face that only Christians deserve to get elected? I guess she forgot about Norm Coleman.<<<

Norm Coleman is a real Jew who has no problems with Christians. Are you placing Norm in the same category as the false Jews like Schumer, Feinstein, and Ginsberg? Help me out here.

"in the general election, more than just crazy fundementalist wingnuts have the opportunity to vote."

Stop right there. Last time I checked, any and every registered Republican in Florida can vote in the primary. Anyone who didn't just lost their bitching rights. Apparently Florida Republicans who didn't like Harris are fewer in number or more lazy than Florida's Harris supporters. Chances are, they wouldn't have managed to shift their lazy butts off the couch to vote in the election anyway. Conversely, Harris' supporters actually seem motivated to participate in the election process. More power to 'em.

Not a trick question. As you are no doubt aware, some of the polling done in this country is done without factoring in all the elements that go into public perceptions.

There is a minority here in Florida who would not, under ANY circumstances, ever vote for a Republican. Nobody expects KH will do well in Palm Beach county, but she is sure to do well up and down most of Florida's Gulf Coast, and particularly in the Tampa Bay area. So she has several power bases within the state, and in a head-to-head confrontation with Bill Nelson (against whom she has ALWAYS directed her campaign), KH comes off as smarter, prettier and more believable, as well as far more worthy of trust.

When the snowbirds return from New York and New Jersey in October and November, of course, the demographics may shift. But they all go to Florida's East Coast. They are largely counterbalanced by the snowbirds that come down from Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota and other population centers in the heartland, flocking to the Gulf Coast. So the demographics are still in balance.

Republicans CAN win, and that includes Katherine Harris. Do you want them to?

Of course. But we still appreciate your presence on FR. Your idiotic posts are so blatant they ensure us we are on the right track.

"Do you think that maybe a few people that didnt vote in the primary will vote in the general election. I think so."

Is 126,000 a few or more than a few?
Will they all vote for Nelson?

My experience is that voters vote and non-voters don't.

I would expect that a contested race for the dim Governor's nomination would bring out the vote in the primary.

If every single one of them voted for Nelson he would lose...

Has FLorida taken care of the little problem of "snow birds" voting in two states yet? Just wondering?????

I guess she forgot about Norm Coleman.

Or she was offended that Norms elderly father was caught getting it on with a 39 year old woman in a fast food parking lot.

So what, those wingnuts are going to vote in the General also. Midterm elections have a terrible turnout and will be w/in percentage points of the primary. Don't bet more than you can afford to lose on Nelson the Nutcase.

Pray for W and Our Troops

I don't know anything about this Florida race, but I do know that everyone is out to get her, and that, in of itself, is a reason for me to root for her.

I'm with you Hildy. When the conventional wisdom of the masses leans one way, it can be a very good bet to take the contrarian view. Plus, it's great sport to watch the einsteins all sputter and backtrack when the final results come in.

You mean, the poll numbers reflected by her terrible treatment by the coalition of the country-club republicans and the democrats, right?

I really don't care what the reason is. I'm looking at the bottom line. She is going to get slaughtered in the general election.

No, it "Imam Harris" that denied that a jew like Coleman deserved to get elected. Only Christians.

After seeing the attacks on Harris, I have come to be convinced you are correct.

The ONLY item these attackers appear to say about her is some variation of "she's a religious freak". I've never seen any of these "'true blue conservatives'" mount any other discussion about what they dislike about her, or what makes any of the other candidates so much more likely to win.

Harris was elected in her district in 2004 by 55%-45% --- not exactly a squeaker, and that despite the leftists pulling out all their vaunted Hollywood and DNC activists in a futile attempt to oppose her.

Sounds to me like she knows how to get votes. Those who oppose her her on FR seem as much worried that she just MIGHT get resonance with her call for a nation that pays just a wee bit more attention to the Laws of God, rather than their being worried about any other aspect of her candidacy.

I think it is much wiser to wait for November than to call the election for Nelson today.

A Republican should have a natural advantage in Florida. But Katherine Harris is going to be roadkill. Sorry, but the polls don't lie. The GOP should have nominate someone who actually had a realistic chance to win.

Harris call last weekend for a theocracy and that you should only elect Christians because all others are sinners

Since neither of these indirect quotes are representative of what she said, it leaves only the question as to whether you can't read, can't tell the truth, or both.

"This campaign will go down in history as one of the most disastrous ever run in the United States," declared Jim Dornan, who helped launch Harris' bid as her campaign manager

Yeah, so whose fault is that, Jim, "Mr.Campaign Manager?" Hmmm?
