I watched the "Born Rich". It was insightful, can't wait to see the follow-up.

I really don't know that much about him either. I just told the hubby that I thought it was an interesting show. She was not critical of him in any way.

I wonder if we'll Stalinize her out of family photos?
To: TXBubba
I didn't see anything wrong with her interview. For some reason I was actually home and flipping channels. I figured the guy from the Johnson family would have been in more trouble.

Wow, can Jimmie Buffet be far behind?

I smell lawyers behind this. When Buffet dies, expect Nicole and others to contest distribution of his estate. She's positioning herself for this battle now.

Buffett is a particularly nasty sort. For many years he said he was giving his billions to abortion operators so they could kill as many as possible.
He's been telling the rest of us that no matter how screwed up his kids get, they'll be a public charge and not on his mealticket.

I guess you could call this a "late life abortion", since WB funds them with foundations. May it turn out to be a great advantage to this brave ex-grandaughter.

Maybe she said she voted for Bush.

Actually he has made a big deal out of how they aren't going to inherit anything anyway, so what is she losing? A guy worth billions can't help his own kin, what kind of guy is he one wonders. From my perspective, the reason we exist is to see to it our offspring have it better than we did, I guess he wants to make it easier for his kids to do that. Whatever... The reason he has so dramatically disinherited his offsprings is very simple, given his personality defects:
They have one less reason to want to kill him.

Gates is doing similar things with his fortune.
A little study of the history of filthy rich familys shows that inherited great wealth is not the boon that most working people would assume it is.
Very wealthy familys are always disfunctional as are their members.
Does anybody envy Paris Hilton's life? Why can't she see that? Do you think the life of the Gettys (for example) was/is a bed of roses?

He thinks people buy his phony image of just plain Warren who lives in the little house in Omaha. I live in Omaha--most of us don't buy it.

Since he's donating much of his fortune to the abortion industry maybe he's hoping he can get them to do a late (18yr) term abortion on her.

Man, what a typical limousine liberal asshole. He can dish it out until he's blue in the face, but as soon as he gets some back in his direction he goes bananas.

Actually he has made a big deal out of how they aren't going to inherit anything anyway, so what is she losing? A guy worth billions can't help his own kin, what kind of guy is he one wonders. He paid for her education, so it's hardly true that he never helped her out. People on this forum love to rail againt the "spoiled trust-fund" kids, and now your criticizing him because he never gave his family more?
On the other hand, it's understandable that she would participate in a documentary like that, but this response seems extreme.

I hope you are right. That sick old F$#K. I come from nothing financially. Both my granddads kicked in to help raise us cause my dad was such a sh!t. They didn't really have much at all but really kept us afloat all the time. I have three daughters myself and I save and plan for the future and I'm doing okay. They and theirs will get most of what I amass. Any SOB that doesn't look out for his own is a sorry piece of crap.(end of story.) Yeah that means you Warren Buffett.

Buffett is a jerk. A very weird jerk. I guess Buffett wants to eliminate her as a granddaughter as his son divorced her mother and this is the excuse. The man is extremely stingy with his own family. Sorry, but it's got nothing to do with "values" and everything to do with his strange need for control, etc.
