Hopefully clouds will stay away long enough.

A spider hangs from a web and a dragon fly sits on a branch as the space shuttle Atlantis sits on 39B after the launch attempt was scrubbed at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida September 6, 2006. NASA postponed the launch of the space shuttle Atlantis on Wednesday because of a problem with a power system aboard the ship, officials with the U.S. space agency said.

What Reuters photogs do while killing time until launches.. :-]

I was just looking at that. The ship is beautiful, but black instead of a rust color would have really made her stand out more:')

I took some out-of-town company to the Space Center a few weeks ago to spend the day; a single mom with 3 children, ages 8, 15 and 17. I was so impressed because although they only had 2 days in Orlando, they chose to go there instead of Disney! It was the first time I actually took the entire tour, even though I've lived in Orlando for 20 years. We were able to watch them preparing the "payload" for this flight. It was a wonderful day and we all learned so much.

It's like an old ship in a way (which most of the shuttles are in a way), even if it is battered and 'rusted', there are certain angles and lighting that still bring out its mystique and gracefulness.

I did the "exclusive" tour and it was a GREAT investment -- there were only 8 of us and we went all the way to the base of the launch pad.

I live in SoCal and I have been to both Disneyland and The Magic Kingdom and our original is better anyway.

I would recommend the exclusive tour to anyone and everyone. But if they can't afford it, the regular tour is great, too.

As space shuttle Atlantis stands bathed in powerful flood lights at launch pad 39B on the evening before blastoff, its destination -- the International Space Station -- soars overhead as photographed in this time-lapse image from the Kennedy Space Center press site.

What is the deal on the fuel cell? Did we not bring one mission home early due to a malfunction in a fuel cell?

I think there's a concern that they need all the power from 3 cells to assure the success of their science mission.

Probably not going to launch today:
he launch team has reported that an ECO sensor on the hydrogen side of the external tank has failed. At this time the team is pressing forward with launch preparations. Mission Management Team members are meeting to determine if they will consider launching with three working sensors or if it will be necessary to de-tank and come back tomorrow.
Fox News reports:
NASA managers have two options: scrub for the day and try Saturday or fly with only three of the four hydrogen fuel sensors working properly. Although no decision had been made, the space agency was leaning toward postponing for a day, said NASA press secretary Dean Acosta.
Launch preparations and continuing, but nobody here should be surprised if it gets called off in the next hour or so.
