There's nothing quite as satisfying as the sight of the Left tripped by its own lies. They should be embarrassed by what they put the country through but by nature they are incapable of admitting they erred.

Fitzi should be put in jail for obstructing his own justice system.

Does anyone know how much Fitzgerald has spent on this wild goose chase?

she doesn't go near far enough in questioning Armitage's motivations, but maybe she figures that's for others , like Novak to do. Who else can dig into it?

Overall, a fairly balanced summary of the facts, but I take issue with the following:
By his silence, Mr. Armitage is responsible for one of the most factually distorted investigations in history.
While Armitage isn't deserving of any praise for keeping his silence for so long, as Toensing points out, Fitzpatrick had to have known from the outset of the "investigation" that there was no "there" there and nothing to investigate. Rather than focus on the principals in this soap opera, he went after Bush, Cheney, Rove and ultimately had to settle for a non-related bogus charge against Scooter Libby.
Fitzpatrick, IMO, is guilty at a minimum of abusing the office of the special prosecutor and malfeasance. He exposed himself as being incompetent, unethical, immoral and a leftist hack whose legal qualifications to be so much as a meter maid are dubious at best.
As a taxpayer, I want my money back from Fitzpatrick. And he should be permanently disbarred.

Fitzgerald was too busy laying perjury traps and collecting huge fees to be concerned about the essence of his job. Inexcusable.

Did Mr. Fitzgerald subpoena Ms. Plame? He could have asked her why, if she were truly covert, was she attending an Eastern Shore meeting in May 2003 with Democratic senators. Pretty much explains the whole mess.

He disingenuously blames his silence on Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald's non-legally-based request--any witness is free to talk about his testimony--not to discuss the matter. What a load of Armitage indeed.
